Only been to OH twice and never gotten a fill...I am guessing they fill growlers differently than most places? Perhaps with additional co2? Most growlers i have gotten they fill through a tube and cap on foam, and definitely should be consumed within a week.

Other Half uses a counter pressure filler for their growler fills, they purge the vessels with co2 first before filling which keeps a lot of the oxygen out. Its also why the only fill certain glass growlers that meet the specs.

I tend to open mine within a week or so but as long as its kept cold and out of the light, it should be fine for longer than that.

not sure what this saturday may be like, but was there 2 saturdays ago around 5pm and it was slammed pack. I'd recommend having a back up plan, just in case.

You and me both. My PR is maybe 4-5 days, but most of the time it's within 24 hours of purchasing.

Cans I only tend to buy 8-12 at a time and they don't make it past a week.

Even things like a BA stout that I want to age, I usually end up drinking within a couple of days haha

I guess it's a function of self-control (or lack of in my case), budget, and not having any sort of interest in collectibles.

i just drink the glass growlers because the breweries that i normally get them from don't purge - so after a few days they go flat.

I'm proud of myself though - 3 out of 4 of my BA Kane Evening/Morning Bell bottles are still in the fridge from the beginning of august.

Oh, I DEFINITELY think it's shady. I just understand WHY they're being shady!

wow so instead of owning up to it and perhaps apologizing, they decide to delete posts? that's pretty ugly. i'm assuming the bigwigs don't control the day to day of the instagram, but that's not a good look either way.

On the plus side, at least this month's thread dominating topic isn't the line.

Two fan favorites in a row have been off, and OH is trying to cover it up! How juicy!

Anyone familiar with Scofflaw Brewing? Just read about them in a Good Beer Hunting post and there are comparisons and contrasts to how OH is handling their inconsistencies.

^^^ Good article, here's the link for anyone interested.

Regarding OH changes, they're definitely there, we see them all the time, people talk about it all the time here, and usually it's subtle like "more piney" or "less better". I can't say what's up with DDH Forever Simcoe or DDH Mylar as I had neither of the last batch.

The Scofflaw guys seem to be pretty confident in their position. Would definitely seem better to rant online, or invite customers in, than to delete posts though.

Sounds more like an oxidized can than a bad batch, no?

Hope so. Looks like there are two collab double IPAs this week. Saturday should be a mess.

I'm supposed to be working this Saturday, but DDH Double Citra Daydream and the Evil Twin collab have me wanting to wheel and deal in order to get the day off.

Anyone looking for a per diem RN gig?

Having DDH Forever Simcoe in taproom now, definitely different but still tastes great y'all. This new Hop Showers is dope too, can't believe there's cans of that left.

    Good times to be alive.

Drinking DDH Double Mosaic Daydream out of a can for the first time (only had it once before via Growler), and it's impossible good, holy shit my taste buds can't handle flavor of this magnitude.
