Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Tuesday. Another pretty productive, yet mellow work day. No meetings once again. A few people on vacation so it was pretty quiet in my cube. Not too many emails either.

    Today's reviews:

Awesome shandy! Nice head retention and spotty lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy lemon, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, and lemon peel; with moderate cracker, rye bready malts; and mild herbal, grassy, peppery hops. Light tangy fruit/lemonade tartness and herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp. Balanced bready/grainy malts, fruit tang/acidity, and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/tangy fruit dryness. No astringent flavors. Fairly clean finishing. Insanely refreshing and flavorful, 4.2%. Perfectly balanced lemonade, berries, and bready rye malts; just enough hops for balanced bitterness and a bit of hop presence. Might need to get more than 1 6 pack at this point, lol. Loved this as expected. Short's has been rocking the fruit beers this year. 4.15

Very nice Flanders brown. Great head retention and soapy lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/sour cherry, berries, raisin, plum, fig, date, green apple, red grape, fruit skin, hay, straw, grass, and pepper; with balanced brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of chocolate, cocoa, leathery/musty funk, oak, and red wine vinegar. Light-moderate lactic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body. Nice bready/grain malt, fairly acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lactic and carbonated dryness. Minimal pucker. Fairly clean finishing. Refreshingly drinkable. Really well rounded Brett complexity with perfectly balanced dark/bready malt flavors; solid Lacto and oak presence. Was hoping for a little more funk/acidity perhaps. Really well made, spot on style example anyways. 3.9

This was fantastic! Insane lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, brown sugar, fudge, molasses, toasted dark bread, and nutty malts; with some raisin, prune, fig, date, and licorice yeast fruits; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, leather, tobacco, and peppery/piney hops. Light-moderate roast/char and peppery/pine hop bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full bodied; big bready/grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel; lightly slick, silky, chalky roast, and hop stickiness. Lightly increasing bitter/char dryness; never acrid or astringent on roast. Minimal warming 10.2%. Super smooth sipper. Very rich and complex on malts; with nice vanilla/cocoa presence. Quite a bit more fruity/yeasty than I recall from their other stouts, but it works really well; never overpowering. Coming in on par with the other Grimm Stouts I've had. Love it. 4.23

I'm on the metro headed back to my hotel where it'll be like Christmas when I open this bag. Sorry about giving you four of the same beers, but I needed to get rid of some old stuff. Hope you enjoy them anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Money wasn't the only IPA that Barrier released recently...
Tanto, feat. ID007, Motueka, Citra and Chinook hops, 7.1% abv, 9/18 canning...

I like it at least as much as Money - maybe a teensy bit more? Hard to call.
    Both beers are ridiculously good....

    Stay sharp, BA...

First day back at work (long flight, jet lag, no sleep, etc) and I am wiped. Had an awesome friend just hand me 3 of these and 3 Counter Weight beers today and it would be remiss of me not to have one tonight. Delicious.

Remedy Mashin Punkins, 6.5% ABV, 22 IBU. Pours dark orange with a half finger of off-white head. Nose is wonderful pumpkin and spice, taste follows with a touch of sweetness and moderate bitterness. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent. Like many other pumpkin beers the nose is better than the taste.

    Tonight after my initial post.

Next up was this underrated Imperial Stout from the one and only @SawDog505 ! = Pretty darn good IMO. Thanks again, brutha!

Followed up with another rock solid beer from @tacosandbeer ...

And real time/right now? Kids picked up from practices, Knapp now on to a homebrewing meeting, and me? Reverting back to my #1 fridge staple since I'm flyin solo. No need to tic new beers, just thoroughly enjoyin' rock solid local beer.

The more Moonraker I drink--like this Double Citra Crush--the more I think they might be in the upper echelon of current CA breweries. Maybe not Russian River/Cellarmaker level, but certainly Fieldwork/Monkish/etc. Ah fuck it, I'm gonna say they're better than Monkish.

Hurricane has brought some heavy winds today but managed some beach time earlier I was the only one in the ocean. Rip currents I was told.

    Working on late dinner:
Steak fajitas. Fresh cut top sirloin, peppers, onion.

Beer? Of course. Thought this would go well. Lime juice ya know? Another @mschrei thanks is needed.
