Founders Better Half at Bad Apple, Chicago

    I was fortunate enough to enjoy the very last pour of CBS at this bar back in May (big thanks to dontcounttoday for the heads-up) and late Tuesday night stopped by to discover Founders Better Half had just been tapped. It's a little pricey at $8/6 oz. pour, and quite tasty.

    For those keeping track, I've been told they open at 3:30.

    Does it have flavor crystals in it, or are they just in the bottled version? :slight_smile:

    I guess it depends on what kind of turnout this thread generates. :grinning: I was the only person having it last night; I'm assuming tonight will be a different story. By the way, it goes down dangerously easy for an 11.9% ABV beer.

    This place is great, I'm pretty sure they still had bottles of Bramble Rye in the cooler as late as July or August of this year.

    Ok, just read that thread. No there was no sediment. I couldn't tell you for sure if it's changed since it was fresh, but it was pretty sweet and tasty enough to come back for seconds.

    So glad they open early today. Anyone know if it's still available? The draft lineup is pretty amazing with Bruery Oude Tart, Revolution Rosa, and Allagash Curieux on top of the CBH. Hope it's all still available!

    I was there last night around 6 and had some, I think I noticed one other person at the bar drinking/ordering it? I would imagine this will stick around for a couple of days. Tasted some Oude Tart too!

    And if you're feeling saucy, they've got Fruet on the beer list for 50 bucks!
