I did not see anything up in the forums on this new brewery and bottle club so I thought I would post it.

I can’t wait to try what Dr. Bill, Bill Sobieski (former Hoprazzi head brewer) and Chris White (best cigar connection in SD) create!

Same, benefits and bottles seemed like a good deal. Splitting it with a buddy up north that comes down every so often so we put it in my name. $160ish after tax for 10 bottles, a glass, and a discount.......I have taken larger gambles before.

I think the tasting room is open now too. Gonna stop by this weekend to see.

Hey guys thanks for signing up for the club you won't be disappointed. We have one of the best sour beer blenders in the country IMO. We will be releasing that info in a couple of days. We are trying to soft open Saturday at 11 or 12 just have a final inspection to get through as long as we pass I will post that we are opening. The tasting room will still be a work in progress and we won't have our full line up of beers yet, but we will have a half dozen tasty beers for your drinking pleasure. Cheers,
    WBBC team

Joined! I'm afraid of knowing how much I'll spend on shipping alone between this and Bruery next year haha. Can't wait for the beers!

I'm going in with a buddy on this, assuming he was on the ball and signed up! I'm looking forward to trying the good Doctor's beers for sure.

Splitting it as well. Hopefully it's at least 50% non-sour stuff.... oh, and hopefully it's excellent stuff as well.

I'm also curious what the sour/clean barrel ratio will be. @DRBILL could you give us any insight into what you're expecting as far as that goes?

Hoppedelic, of course we want to let the barrels tell us which ones will be ready but it should be pretty close to a 50/50 sour to clean ratio for 2018. We plan on having extensive sour and clean barrel programs in the future so we are looking at the possibility of letting club members tailor their clean/sour selections upon signing in subsequent years. I've belonged to more clubs than I care to mention over the years and I always thought it would be great be able to select all sours or all clean or have an 80/20 mix if that's what the consumer wants. It can be a logistical challenge for a brewery and I know a few clubs are formatted for the member to choose which beers they want to purchase as they are released, but I feel that leaves those programs with excess product that ultimately gets released to the general public thus lessening the exclusivity and overall club experience. By knowing the ratios people want at the beginning of the enrollment it will allow our blender to create club exclusives in the proper volume.

    Cheers

Wild Barrel Brewing Company is excited to announce Preston Weesner has signed a letter of intent to join as a partner and direct our barrel programs.

He is an accomplished blender and spent 5 years at Portland's Cascade Brewing where he was the lead blender and stewarded the live barrel program which included over 50 one-off blends per year, many of which became production blends or cult favorites.

His focus is on the barrels and letting them speak to what they need on the beer's journey from concept to barrel to blend, and finally to conversation among friends while sharing the finished product.

    Cheers from WBBC

Could be my poor reading skills, but I didn't see this on the website. How long will you hold the membership beers before we have to pick them up.

It says if not picked up by March 31, 2019 you lose the bottles, canned IPA's you have 2 weeks.

Ok, the beers were all solid. I was not a huge fan of the stout, but that is because I basically drink speedway all the time so anything that has a bit less body to it drops down a few pegs in my book. Prince of Dankness and Vice: Pink Guava were my favorites.

The place is huge, some video games, pinball machine inside the tasting room and then a few more line the walls of the entrance walkway. Batting cages on the opposite side of the brewery and eventually there will be an axe throwing location/club in the back starting around November. They were doing hour lessons for $20 to get ppl interested since the tasting room was hopping with ppl.

The woodwork was fantastic, plenty of little nooks and crannies if you want to hide while drinking your beer or else plenty of open tables if you rather be social.

The lady selling the chocolate said she will be there more often than not.

I look forward to everything else that will be coming out of this brewery. Already feel that my membership may go from being split with a friend this year to maybe taking over entirely for 2019.
