Very attractive clear gold color with white cap.

Pleasing aroma of herbal, spicy hops on a sweet malt base. Touch of caramel scent in the malt.

Flavor is just about equal parts malt and hops on entry. Sounds simple but this is a case where the sum of the parts equal a greater whole. What I'm saying is hops retain their spicy, herbal nature while the malt emerges in almost bold fashion showing both richness and depth without cloying sweetness or leading to an out of balance beer. Kind of a Romeo-Juliette thing going on between malt and hops in that each shine yet meld into a complete whole. Even in the aftertaste both play equally.

Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

Well designed, well made, as approachable as a small town politician.

 

I made a jacket out of an insulated foam camping mat and metallic bubble wrap for the pot I use for BIAB. It shaves a good 3rd off the time bring 5gals upto strike/ or boil temps. Might be worth looking into

Beer #4. I find J Wakefield's ipas to be strange (but still good), and this one does nothing to buck the trend. Should have been labeled as a sour ipa imo. Fruit-forward with a big kick of tartness.

 

Little pre-dinner beverage from Counterweight and it is damned tasty. Herbal, almost tea-like, spicy lemon...really easy drinker.
