Has anyone seen if High Water is doing anything about the infection?

I opened mine on Sunday and got sour green apples. No one in my party could take more than a couple sips. Total drain pour.

It was only after that I noticed people posting about it being infected but I have yet to see any official public response from High Water. I sent them a contact form about it but haven't heard back yet.

I have not heard anything official, but my friend that owns a bottle shop told me that it's being recalled by Highwater.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens

Great, another costly beer that despite being waxed & aged is possibly going to crap. I really do hope they address this matter if such is the case.

Yeah, I was actually caught off-guard by how much this bottle cost. Was a fan of the regular and was really excited to hear this was coming out so a friend and I finally split the cost.

    Still no response, btw.

    Still nothing.

I checked Untappd check-ins and people were reporting off flavors as far back as 9/4. A check-in about a week later suggested that High Water was aware of the issue.

What's taking so long for them to respond??? I don't mean to me, but in general.

I'm getting more and more upset at the fact that they knew these were infected by the time I purchased my bottle. I paid nearly $30 for something they knew was infected and yet allowed to remain on the shelves. This is not a good look for them.

Don't they use Hermitage Brewing to brew for them? Probably trying to figure out what happened at Hermitage.

I don't know about that, but they don't have to know how it happened before they can start pulling these off the shelves or make some kind of an announcement.

Tried the Twitter thing. I'll let you know if I get any response. Still nothing from the contact form I submitted.

There are some comments about a recall in an instagram post comments section. Maybe try there.

OK I've tried that, too, and still nothing.

I'm beginning to think they are just hoping this will all blow over without them doing anything at all. I can't believe in this day and age a company can just pretend nothing happened and ignore an issue like this.

How hard is it to come up with a response by now? It's not like this has never happened to a brewery before.

This is the '17 that's infected, not the '16.

    Correct?

I had a '17 recently and it was horrific.

    Yes.

    Finally something:

No word yet what they'll do for people who had to drain pour their's. Hopefully we can get refunds from the vendors.
