I'm prolly going again. 3rd time for me. I just hope it's better than last years shitshow which was less than impressive from beer, to food and layout.

Did pricing go up from last year? Seems more expensive unless I'm losing it.

Scotch BA Parabola? Awesome! Did they do anything like this last year? I hope they will sell that in the Venice company store.

Have they released the final blend yet?

I agree. I hated the organization last year, and nearly decided not to go this year. But they said on IG that they were capping the attendance at smaller numbers this year to prevent the problems that happened last year, so I give them credit for acknowledging that.

As far as pricing though... it is a little higher for the bottles, but cheaper for the ticket if that make sense. They went for $25/22oz bottle = $150 for ticket last year. And $15/12oz bottle = $90/ticket this year.

Last year they had Ten Buck Chuck, a Luponic Distortion + brettanomyces beer with Chuck Silva/Silva Brewing.

Ten buck chuck, was the "mystery" bottle of the day. Had a sip and chucked the rest.

Last year was super disappointing...I can agree beer/food/layout. One of the highlights was that I could get any photo printed out if I used their hashtag on IG. I had some fun with that!

I dunno about hype, but it was actually my favorite beer from last year's party...

I'll be in Solvang that weekend and want to stop by Barrelworks for a few tasters saturday afternoon/evening. Once the event is over after 2 pm, will it be business as usual at the Barrelworks bar?

Barrelworks is unaffected, other than having Firestone XXI bottles for sale (which may or may not increase foot traffic).

The party is only at the Paso Robles location.

Really?! Not even after drinking the vintages and the other better bwx beers?

Side note: what really grinder my gears was that night dinner pairing with old kegs of beers they had that was like $250 per person, come to find out they were serving the remaining leftovers in the restaurant and didn't tell anybody about it. I missed out on the earlier vintages, ugh

19th party was way better for BA stuff...

Anyway, 20th was outdoor and pretty hot too, which imo, made drinking BA stuff gross. In that context, the Ten Buck Chuck and normal Luponic were my favorites to drink. I bet this year will be outdoors too though.

Yeah I was ruined from the amazing beer list from the 19th anniversary party. Bravo, PNC, ddba 12-14 etc then 20th was like WTF IS THIS SHIT? it was like more of a barrelworks party to me with shitty food that was never available except for the damn cookies and bruschetta.

So I really hope this time is better.

Amen brother! After attending 19th, I assumed that was the norm of excellence.

I did take home a few boxes of the cookies when they were shutting down!

Well got my tickets and booked my room at the Adelaide Inn which was $147 for the night. The Marriott that Firestone was providing rates was at $179 so screw that.

Heard most of the drunken bottle shares/sexual encounters happen at the inn, is this true?

During FWIBF I have stumbled back to my room from the pool multiple nights in a row. So, get a room closer to the pool area but not right in front of it.
