I heard there would be "special tappings" today. Not sure what that means specifically...

I heard Henna barrel aged for only a few months.

I guess I was being harsh when I said that but it wasn't a great experience.

No dedicated line for to-go cans. Not even a space at the bar for handling just can sales. Everyone was just piling up at the bar. 2 people behind the counter and everyone was running around. Lots of people there, was crowding tables where people were eating lunch.

I got lucky and someone at the bar left but it looked like a majority of them were staying and eating or drinking. Just felt very unorganized.

I've been there three times and service has always been lackluster. The food and beer though has always been phenomenal. Just don't know how they didn't forecast the turnout and had have more resources in place to handle it.

I was in and out in like 20 after crowding the bar.

I was just about to take my lunch and head there when I saw this. So I guess I'll be the 3rd to ask; what happened?

They wouldn't be refrigerated and they may miss out on extra sales of food/taps, but they do have that space where the swag is if they wanted a set up for cans. It's where they sold Henna bottles too

Makes complete sense, but I feel it inconveniences both the people that just wana get in and out, and the people at tables. Really felt awkward hovering next to people eating their lunch.

Wasn't a terrible experience, just thought they would facilitate the space you mentioned. The grand opening was easy.

Then again, they may sell more glassware and shirts that way too. I agree with you on doing it differently.

Looks like Henna is on tap. Nice little surprise for the day.

    Original Henna or Double Rainbow?

Double Rainbow is Original Henna (Henna is the name of the series)

Double Rainbow. The one they bottled.

My understanding is Original Henna is the standard base beer, and Double Rainbow is a variant.

I think Double Rainbow and the 2 variants (maple and coconut which both eliminated strawberry) are the only 3 Hennas that have existed to this point.

Wonder how long the Double Rainbow lasts, seeing as I was planning on going there for the cans this evening. I thought Double Rainbow was delicious on release day and I preferred it to both the Coconut and Maple variants.

Very enjoyable can release today. I showed up at noon, and there were multiple spots open at the bar. I was able to get a pour of Henna Double Rainbow, Strong Hand, and DDH Dusty very quickly. They were going through 4-packs relatively fast, but they kept getting re-stocked, and I couldn't be happier with the service behind the bar.

I walked away with two 4-packs of each, and my bartender kept them in the fridge while I finished my food, and my remaining beer. It actually was very coordinated for a release while the restaurant was open.

They're limiting each pour to 5oz per person, so it may last for a bit. This is the last keg of it from what I've heard though.

Double Rainbow was the first Henna, they did two variants of that base beer and added coconut for one variant and hazelnut for the other variant. But Double Rainbow was the beer. So it goes Henna: Double Rainbow and the next bottle would be Henna: Captain's Arse or whatever.

Hmmm... I'd make the drive down for lunch tomorrow if Henna is still on, I'm curious to try it. Can someone please let us know if it is still on at close of business?
