More Brewing Co. (StB) - (2018)

Went over on lunch, had a pour of Henna (1 5oz pour pp), tried the Strong Hand on tap and took one of each 4 pack to go. I don't get the complaints on how these can releases have been handled- they've been great and super chill. If you can chill out on the FOMO and go a little after the posted release time, its a cakewalk.

 

Thoughts on Strong Hand? Good enough to get 2 4 packs of without tasting first?

 

You two mirror my experience. I got there around 12:30, found a seat at the bar next to a bud, called another bud over, budded it up with mah buds, drank 20 ounces of beer including Double Rainbow, enjoyed a tasty burger and got my cans when I asked for my check an hour later.

If people would learn to line up on the "rail" to the far right of the bar this wouldn't be that hard. Yes, you won't be in and out in 30 seconds like you're at Binny's but it's not challenging. It was mildly annoying when the dumb among you started randomly squeezing between people seated at bar stools, though.

 

Picked up a four pack of each and had a pour of Henna at 4:30. Was busy but no issues with service. In and out in 20min. Friendly and solid as always.

 

Will Henna last all night?

 

Also which is the better of the two can releases today? Only want to get one

 

I agree with all the sentiment above. Got there at 3:45, and was out with a 4 pack of each and pour of henna in 15 mins.

 

I'll be there about 8. Hopefully both last.

 

I really liked Strong Hand. I think it was my favorite of the two.

 

Had it on draft and you were right. Really good. I also enjoyed Henna more than I did on release day. I thought this wasn’t as strawberry dominant

 

FYI, cans (and Henna) are still plentiful.

Yeah, there was still a lot of both cans and Henna left by the time I was on the way out around 8:45PM. The waitress said it so nonchalantly that it was like I asked her something very silly.

Henna was even better than I remember. All the ingredients were balanced (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate) and I even got some coffee this time. Sticky mouthfeel to the point that after the first sip my lips were sticking. This beer could have gone the wrong way with strawberry where it become over the top, but it actually went the right way and mellowed just right. Shaun is the master if adjuncts and mouthfeel.

 

these beers are phenomenal.

 

Just wanted to say our service tonight was top notch.

And Henna was killer and so was pretty much everything we had.

 

I'm still burping up what tastes like neapolitan ice cream. Delicious.

 

What an extremely nice surprise to finally get to try Henna. Excellent adjunct stout and well balanced. I feel the strawberry is most prevalent. The mouthfeel is big, but not quite as big as some of his other stouts. Didn’t think I would get a shot at this beer so glad I got to try.

My presence in the cans being released was DDH Dusty, but in general I seem to prefer the smoothness, low bitterness associated with DDH brews. Strong Hand is very good and nice Mosaic showcase with a tad more bitterness IMO.

I had dinner and left around 9ish and as mentioned, lots of cans still there.

 

Anyone stay until around closing? Hoping Henna didn't blow tonight

 

Hope to get there for lunch tomorrow, so I hope Henna is still flowing.
