I have not seen Cellarmaker in southern CA. Are they distributing here? I'd love to try their hoppy beers.

#nope, at least not in SD. We occasionally get a couple kegs at the usual bars (O'Brien's, Hamilton's, Toro) but cans/bottles are all onsite atm.

Not in the LA/OC area. The kegs may occasionally show up at some pubs/bars. I think we would see Fieldworks beers show up here before Cellarmakers.

Fieldwork still only distributes at their 4 locations. Never seen it in a store around here. They still sell out pretty quickly.

And yes, Cellarmaker only sells cans at their brewery.

Having DDH QO4 now. It's clean crisp, with big Mosaic hop flavors for a small package. Haze bros would be disappointed, but I love it. Like a lighter Turok.

"We also used a locally grown barley that was malted by new Alameda maltster: Admiral Maltings. A nice toasty and nutty touch!"

Just read they're using Curtis Davenport, Ron Silberstein and Dave Mcleans new malt spot in Alameda.

DDH Dobis Plus will be interesting. Hope I can make it there this weekend.

Lost Wisdom & Party Drank were great - but the winner for me yesterday was that Questionable Origins - a world class beer.

Mo' Citra was alright, but seemed to be the obvious inferior one to the other three for me.

Happy Anniversary to those guys and gals. Wish I could make it to try Flesh Tones #3 but don't think it's going to be in the cards.

Questionable Origins was fantastic. I was tempted to get a growler fill but I have too much beer in the fridge so decided against it.

Was there yesterday and got full pours of:

    Party Drank
    Cask Conditioned Party Drank
    Coffee & Cigarettes
    Boulevardier Vastness

All were great in their own way.

I'll be there for the Flesh Tones #3, Sour Project and DDH Dobis Plus at opening today!

Did they have to carry you out? Lol 4 full pours of some strong stuff!

Really want to try Party Drank and DDH Dobis Plus, but don't think I'll make it :-(

    Today had full pours of...

Flesh Tones #3 - Very good BBA Saison. Woody, and apricot mostly prominent in aroma and aftertaste. Dry overall.
Sour Project #1 - Much more Brett and sour than FT3. Too acidic for be but the longer I stayed with it, the more layers it developed.
DDH Dobis Plus - I didn't like this one very much. Plenty of hop flavor, but felt it didn't match the tone of the beer? I prefer regular D+.
BBA Vanilla Latte Vastness - it's what it sounds like. I feel all the BBA Vastness beers of late nailed the flavor profile. This is no different and is really balanced with all the adjuncts

Someone gave me 1/3 of the
Cask Conditioned BBA Vastness with Orange Zest and Chocolate Croissant. Similar opinion.

    Happy 4th Birthday!

Stopped by yesterday for the Cask Party Drank and Manhattan Vastness of Space...and couldn’t resist one of their dancing hop T-shirts. Also picked up growlers of Coffee & Cigarettes (their heaviest batch to date at 8.5%) and Blammo!.

Honestly was a bit disappointed by the cask Party Drank. Didn’t try the regular — is it much better? The cask one just reminded me of a very sour citrus juice.

Loved the Manhattan VoS, though. Considering heading up tomorrow for the Boulevardier and Vanilla Latte versions.

Regular Party Drank is really good. I liked it more than Cask, which was interesting... but perhaps not what I look for in beer.

I was able to make it to the brewery today with my sister. Party Drank was amazing (got a growler), Questionable Origins (got a growler) and Dobis Plus were both great.

Mo' Citra was a huge letdown based on the tasters we had. Like horrible. I then went up and asked for a splash to confirm things and it turns out we got the Belgian pale lol. The actual Mo'Citra was better, but not nearly as good as I recalled from previous tastings.

Overall, their Hoppy stuff was awesome as always.

Sorry if these are super redundant questions but coming out next month for the first time with only an hour to two to spare and would love to try a bunch of different beers and get some to go if possible:

Are flights or small pours available?

Growlers only or do they have a growler
Machine? I've seen mention of growlers elsewhere and am unsure if that's in error or people are getting them offsite somewhere.

    Are credit cards accepted?

    Tia.

5oz pours of most beers are available.

The ones that are exceptions usually are full pours of 7oz.

Growlers only, for some beers. They allow outside growlers if you cover the original brewery logos with tape. No Crowler machine. But if you want to buy a Cellarmaker growler, they have glass growlers in 32oz or 64oz sizes. Aluminum in 1L vs 2L.

    Yup!
