Had a pour of ONE at the taproom today and a sample of TWO. The latter is intense--grassy, bitter, resinous--but still quite good. Similar to Radical ONE and the first batch of Power of ONE, I think it will benefit from some time and potentially be amazing in a few weeks.

On the other hand, this batch of ONE is damn near perfect, right there with Infinity + ONE in terms of my favorite beers from them. It's honestly better than I remember, and it was already one of the best DIPAs I'd ever had...

Lastly, I find it crazy that Soup Galaxy cans are still available (or, at least, were this afternoon), especially given the rave reviews here and elsewhere. Really psyched to give it a try!

All those people went through there today and Soup Galaxy still available, crazy. Tempted to head back tomorrow for more if still left.

I don't think they were selling Soup, Southdown or Mofo on line. When I went in to try to get a growler fill, I noticed them behind the bar, but they were definitely not in the back room on Scudder.

Yes, that was my experience as well. I asked if they had Soup cans left when I reached the front of the release line, and they said I had to purchase in the tap room. I'd imagine many people in the ONE/TWO line didn't realize that there were more cans available, but personally, I appreciate that Sand City likely wanted to spread the beer-to-go among as many people as possible!

As you can tell, space is at a premium in sand city these days and they had to get all that One and Two ready for the line so the excess soup and other cans were not brought out. It was a conscious decision to focus on the anniversary brews that people had lined up for so that the line would move. Same reason they don't push too much merch on the lines except new stuff for releases like the teku and willie...LOVING the willie becher by the way!!! FINALLY the right glass for all my casual sand city IPA drinking...

Pretty much everyone was getting the full mixed case so it made things faster without soups etc. They definitely would have sold out of all the soups and everything else if they were pushing them on the can lines but it would've been SO much slower if everyone started cherry picking the excess stuff..."I'll take 2 4 packs of galaxy soup and 1 4 pack of the stout and..."

It's really cool that everyone has different favorites too. It's a testament to how good sand city is overall and across the board. For me on soups/ones...

    Citra / Amarillo > Galaxy
One / Power of > Infinity > Radical

Oh, I agree with you 100%. It's mindblowing to me that the Soup cans (and the Mofo and stout cans) are still available. Those cans will sell out soon, I would think. Gotta agree with the other's Galaxy assessment, simple superb. But...all the soups are amazing IPAs. I would have bought more on Sunday, but...you know...money and all.

I also agree with the Becher statement. I got one because they were out of 2 by the time I got there (extra money) and am using it for an Industrial Arts Wrench and I love it. My 18oz Becher glass is my most used glass in my house. Perfect for tall boys.

Shocking all the of Soup beers are still available in tap room. Strolled in and grabbed some more Galaxy and Second Wave. Second Wave is really good, I forgot about this beer, loved it last year, been almost a year since I had it, must have slept on releases of it. Had a pour of Two, it was OK, nothing special.

I was there today too around 1215. I'm pretty sure I didnt snub you this time. I couldnt believe the soups were still available. They even had them for on site consumption. Had a glass of ONE. I've never had it before and it was amazing. Also had a 5 oz of 2 (agree, wasn't that impressed) and the pumpkin ale (above average for sure). Whoever hasn't picked up Galaxy Soup is missing the fuck out!

The newest batch of Second Wave is ridiculously good. Also, they finally ran out of Galaxy but they still had Amarillo and Citra as of yesterday afternoon.

Must have just missed you, I was there around 2pm. Wanted growlers but all of the One and Two beers were no growlers. When I was there Friday they were allowing growlers of some of them. Kind of bummed, just grabbed another 4 pack of Second Wave.

It's funny...when ONE and 2 were first released I thought that ONE was far better. Fast forward to today and I'm finding that 2 is drinking fantastic, whereas the can of ONE that I'm currently drinking is maltier/sweeter and slightly darker in color than previous cans. Really hope this is just a fluke.

Had a can of 2 last night and couldn't agree more--it is drinking fantastic right now, significantly better than it was a week ago. Still not even a hint of booze, and grassy/earthy flavors are becoming more tropical. Had my second can of ONE over the weekend and thought it was just as good as the first. That said, I did notice a significant amount of green sludge at the bottom of both cans (I've observed similar from Trillium and Interboro, especially), so we'll see how they hold up...

Questions- does Sand City release cans every week? Is it always on Sunday? If it is every week, when do they normally announce?

Hoping to stop by on Saturday night, but will move that to Sunday if it means getting cans.

No, no and no. Releases on Sundays are sporadic. They do weekday releases on now set schedule with usually same day notice. They could still have cans of Second Wave available, check out their Instagram.
