2 out of 3 of those sound like real beer I'd like to drink!

Im excited because this means I can roll up any time this weekend (or even gasp! early next week) and score some cans. And I don't mind trying some other styles besides DDH NEIPA all the times.

Oh! I love Short Dark and Handsome, it was the first Other Half beer I ever had.

It took a couple of years, but they finally heard you ! What time are you getting in line?

I know right! The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
What's next, a Kolsch that doesn't resemble a Pina Colada?
Maybe the post IPA world is finally upon us.

I think you would have enjoyed their helles collab with Interboro.

I generally enjoy your disdain for the NE IPA craze and such, but I am struck by the fact that you seem to be ignoring the wealth of beers out there that AREN'T hazy, aren't IPAs and that are readily available to you---which to my thinking should assuage some of your contempt. Why preoccupy yourself so much with what you dislike rather than what's out there that you like?

Again, I appreciate your tastes and your comments and general attitude in here, it's a sharp contrast to the majority of OH drinkers, but advocating for OH to be more like the countless beers you can find on shelves and at other breweries in the city (Bronx Brewery has been here for years, folks) just seems bizarre to me.

Damn is it nice to go to Other Half and grab a few 4 packs with no line or wait and then enjoy a pint.

Does this mean no mid-week release?

I'd imagine they want to sell out of their current can inventory before Saturday. Only so much fridge space to go around.

What I meant was, they aren't likely to add more cans during the week if they still have some leftover from last weekend. But who knows.

I like to be a little cheeky in my replies, nothing too serious. I do remember OH back in the beginning when it wasn't 95% IPAs. I just think breweries should demonstrate a little variety. I'd never want to bring someone to OH if they were hoping for a wheat beer or something a bit malty. I do think OH exhibits some of the worst trends in craft beer these days - concentrating on only trendy styles, overhopping or adding anything to delicate traditional styles, encouraging line "culture", merch gouging, etc. It's all about making money to everyone I guess but a little more to breweries like OH. Long ago when lines started I asked if they would be so popular if they made a nice Porter and that Porter never arrived. So it's nice to see a traditional sounding Helles coming up. FWIW my favorite OH beers are regular IPA, Cool Summer Bro and Doug. Obviously those beers are from before the NEIPA days.

There is a can release at Blocktoberfest but I've yet to see what kind of beer it is.

I was at Other Half on Saturday and all 20 beers were IPAs. So at 95% you had some options!

Mmmmm Doug. That and Epitome are the two best Black IPAs I've ever had.

Don't forget about Midnight Showers. That beer was fantastic.

I would like to see any of their black IPAs make an appearance, but since style doesn't get much love these days, I don't think it's going to happen.
