Always end your day at Sante with Vanilla Joe (when on tap).

Yep their dark beers are just as good as everything else. Still waiting to try a SARA I haven't liked. Any news on when the new taproom is opening?

Saw some pretty nice goodies in the in-house fridge...

Bummer about living 5 hours away...

Seems like they're open for good. Thinking about making the drive down this weekend to check out the new space.

    Fri/Sat/Sun 12-9
    Tues/Wed/Thurs 2-8

Made the drive down this past weekend to visit the new taproom and loved it. The space is beautiful, there were lots of games to play, the tap and bottle list was huge and everyone was having a good time. Got there after the kitchen closed though so I didn't get to try the pretzel. Wish that the takeaway bottle list was bigger than 1 beer though.
Really happy for them and can't wait to visit again.

Yea it was kind of crazy, if I didn't get there so late I would have enjoyed one. I remember seeing West Ashley, Bernice, Hoeybier, Lady in Grey, Dutch Door, Elements of Composition...

I tried Sixteen Sided, Posthaste, Exclamation Mark: Vic Secret!, and Full Hands In. All were excellent but Sixteen Sided stood out. Maybe the most enjoyable lager I've ever had.

Wow that sounds amazing. I hope that will be close to the norm and not just an opening weekend thing!

I'm heading up to Santa Cruz this Saturday and noticed that SARA has bottles of Appreciation. Think those will last until Saturday?

tbh even the brewers i talked to didnt expect them to last through this sunday. no idea how much is left but i wouldnt be optimistic about them being there saturday other than in house at the midtown portal

Finally got to try Saison Bernice this weekend and thought it was great.

Can someone let me know how often it is released along with Appreciation and Cellarman Barrel Aged Saison.

We've been seeing Bernice quite a bit recently, maybe 2-3 times this year so far? And recent batches have been tasting fantastic.

Thanks! Does it usually stick around for a little bit or is it instantly sold out?

Now that the batches are larger, sticks around for a few days/week. Appreciation is still available to go as of right now, and that was released over a week a go. I gotta wonder how much of that though is a reflection of the recent price bumps. Love SARA, but $25/bottle is pushing it for me (and appreciation is a fav of mine).

Yeah I would guess they scaled up batches a little bit, their beer used to fly off the shelves immediately and now some more sought after beers stick around for a weeks at a time. It could also have to do with a general increase in available mixed-fermentation beers from brewers across the board. Basically an oversatuation of the style in the general marketplace, but frankly Sante are doing some of the representations on the West Coast, if not the country.
