I find it kind of freeing that I am not interested in most of these 5-bottles sales. Saves me money.

 

sucks it has come to this but i understand. wish i could get 1 or 2 of the anniversary (and a chance at the 92).

 

I would be in for 2, but not 4. This will be the first anniversary I miss out on, unless single bottles get sold following weekend.

I will definitely get a couple of the Anniversary bottles. If I don't get picked in the EventBrite instant Lottery, I will trade for a couple of bottles. I've always liked their quad and I have to keep my vertical going. My guess is the asking price for the Anniv bottles won't be that high.

 

hoping if I can't get it for whatever reason someone is willing to share the 92, if its anything like Fifth it will be amazing

 

I'm not interested in the "How they should distribute...." discussion. In my opinion, what ratchets up the discontent with Eventbrite is that you get the bottle in your cart and then lose it before you check out. It fosters the feeling of getting gypped.

 

How far along this vertical are you?

 

Hmm, a long shot but I suggested the 2192 idea in last months thread.. @glennl did you relay this idea along or are y'all just clever on your own

 

I'd love to give you credit, but we've been talking about this since 2012, which was a leap year, and someone said 365 should've been 366 or something to that effect. It just happened to work this year that we had the opportunity to use that idea.

 

I agree however people are going to be in on this mainly for the 'special version' which will likely lead to this being like their previous releases.

Hopefully the 'leftovers' will still be available at the brewery for easy access to get 1 or 2 bottles like I want. Would love to get the special one but missed out last year too so NBD (couldnt get there for anniversary day until late in the day).

I don't have the cognac either. I'm not sure when I would break this vertical out. Maybe for year 10?

 

Saw this and happen to be working down that way on Saturday. Thought about trying to get in on it, but the four bottles of one changed my mind.

 

For me, the 4 bottles is the same as Mexican Brunch. I have multiple friends who I would be more than happy to gift/sell a bottle to. In a perfect world I'd like the one special bottle and two of the quad for myself.

 

I know very little about trade market and values but one possibility: eventbrite sells out, people try and negotiate trades or sales before pickup, the trade/sale market is not there for the anniversary beer, and a lot of the traders end up not picking up, so there is a bunch left over.

Hoping this happens so I can grab a bottle.
