Rhinegeist was nowhere near the reason that Over-The-Rhine has been revitalized. That area made a big turn long before Rhinegeist was in the planning stages. Not to mention that they aren't really that close to where all of the revitalization is happening.

The only thing I can think is that they are looking long term and hoping the current Olde Town East spruce up will go that far. The Parsons area is starting to look better, but this a good mile and a half to the east of that.

But I think Franklinton is going to be the hot spot quicker than that area of OTE is.

At any rate, I don't see CBC actually going through with this. The project might go through, but that doesn't mean CBC will be there.

I saw this. I'm glad they are switching to 12oz format, but it's odd they are doing bottles(ba Doris) and cans. I'm guessing this is why the price isn't any better than the 22oz bottles.

Got any insight as to why? Just seems weird they are a "committed user" but have no plans to go through with it. Guess they just commit to a ton of things each and every week?

    Any Yakima sightings in Cbus?

I went into Giant Eagle UA this morning and they had 3 4 packs left.
Per the guy working in the beer dept, he said they had seven cases yesterday.

Seems to be pretty much all over at this point. Initial cases went out on Wednesday it appears.

Friday is a big delivery day. Should see lots of cases of Yakima dropped today, and then more even early next week (due to certain places getting Mon/Tues deliveries)

We aren't hearing this announcement from CBC. At this stage there is likely nothing more than a "yeah, we could be interested in this" type of agreement.

This is the developer using cbc's name to drum up hype while they secure more of the necessary funds. This, I think, is why many mixed use revitalization projects in this city boast a space for a brewpub or tap room. Hype that shit up. Investors think brewpubs can't fail.

Looking at CBC's past I can understand them being a little legal gun-shy. They aren't big on others making announcements for them or speaking on their behalf. I'm curious to see what their thoughts are about this article. I'm betting they wish some developers could keep their mouths shut.

I have no doubt that Tony would speak up if anything were official. I'll believe it when I hear it from the horse's mouth.

I picked up some Hop Stalker last night and this stuff is so good that I'm thinking of getting more ASAP. I think it's as good as Hop Juju honestly, it just doesn't get the hype that Juju gets.

Hop Stalker is one of my favorite Fat Head's releases every year and this batch is fire, but it's a totally different beer than JuJu and I really wouldn't compare the two. Especially with the very different hop profile.

As a NYC resident who infrequently is in OH to visit family, I still get to try a lot of the good stuff there. Hop Stalker is one of the best hoppy beers I've had from OH, and yes I would put if in front of JuJu also.

Hop Stalker is consistently delicious, but CBC Yakima Fresh is better IMO.
