Yea its gotta be this. I cant justify the $140 plus a 3 hour round trip when i only would want the 2192. If it was 3/2 or 2/1 then Id maybe bite the bullet but only 1 limited bottle plus 4 of a beer that id probably only drink 1 of and a glass that my cabinet knows that i dont need just doesnt cut it for me. Hope everyone enjoys their allotments though

It would both surprise me and not surprise me if they did a sticker can this weekend...

Something must have gone really south with either the neighbors or the police. Never seen a brewery actively dissuade patrons from coming.

making my first trip down to Kane.

Question) If I get there at 4:30 for bottles, will there be special pours AFTER 5pm?

Also: Best food/restaurant around there to treat the lady to?

how is not having special beers on tap, actively dissuading patrons from visiting their brewery?

I mean, they generally have some pretty dope beers on tap every weekend anyway.

i do agree though - something must have happened. Or they're just tired of "lynebros" lining up anticipating a release OR the people who walk around with a cooler trying to sell their beers.

Yeah its prob a combo of both assholes actively treating the parking lot like a beer flea market and complaints from neighboring businesses about parking traffic on big days. Either way maybe something sneaks on, it doesn't hurt to hope haha.

Regardless the tap list now is really good anyways! Mosaic Punch is great

agree, the tap list last weekend was stellar!

I think it is a combination of a few things.

Some of the neighboring business are open on the weekend, particularly Saturday. To have delivery vans/trucks having to avoid crowd, people walking, and having your loading dock blocked has to become very tiresome. In addition there are some reserved spots for businesses and I have seen them used multiple times.

Coming off HW 35, there is a ton of other businesses in the area that are also busy, especially with Costco around the corner and new stores opening by Target, for the township of Ocean to have to pull patrol cars away from not just the town but those other businesses because of complaints at Kane has to also be affecting them.

In addition i know for a fact drunk/erratic driving has been an issue leaving their area.

I also thing the line culture and trading in the parking lot is not something that Kane anticipated and/or wants. Granted we all know it comes with the territory, but it has to be fairly discouraging to see the amount of trades and cash exchanges happening in line and in the lot. It also is a safety hazard - Neckbeards don't tend to look both ways

The Ocean Township police department visited with many patrons coming out of Bloomsbury on Saturday afternoons this past summer.

Really not sure, anything! Somewhere we can sit down and eat, good beer on tap always helps

I prefer porta pizza over talulah's, though beer list at T's is better.

While I appreciate that Kane has to adopt a new system because of some outside factors, I still don't care for it. The format is just bad in my opinion. I really only would have wanted one 2190 and one 2192. Five bottles and a glass for $120 plus fees, yeah no. It is what it is but I'll echo some sentiments here since it's a thought I mentioned long ago, have some kind of membership system in place. I won't get into the whole entitlement talk but I can understand the feelings from those that have been around a while.

Playing devil’s advocate here, would those sentiments be the same if it was a sale for 5 BA stouts?

Yes, unless they were all different. I rarely max out anymore. There's just too much good beer out there.

If you guys ever go to Vermont with a Kane hoodie on, make sure you have Kane beers on you. I've been stopped a bunch of times, and was even asked by an Alchemist employee of I happened to have anything. Wish I had brought some stuff, just didn't think it was necessary but love all the love people are giving Kane up here.
