I'm surprised there haven't been more crowler trade requests..... I know you folks abroad want to get your hands on some Frucht: Cucumber.

The Bruery IG just posted that it is 11 included beers in the 2018 RS. First I remembe reading it was 9 plus the included archive bottle. Via their last post is 9 bottles and 2 included archive bottles[IMG]

I have too much crap on hand already and I'm currently about halfway through a 2016 Mocha Weds.

Do they serve leftovers the next day? I fly in on the 25th.

Not consistently the next day but have seen BT variants show up at both tasting rooms in the past for the days following.

A number of the 2017 party-premiering treatments are casks and/or single keg treatments.

Last year I wondered the same thing. I looked at the tap list the following day and there were no BT on tap. It surprised me, but then again... you can pull a keg off of a tap line and hold onto it for a bit (i think?).

Looking at the last email from the Bruery, it's looking like RS sign ups are lagging. Incentivizing members to send RS membership info to friends and family, comes off like numbers aren't where they want them to be.

I'm probably not renewing. Here's why:

    • I was disappointed with this year's releases
    • lack of new BA stouts
    • No options to opt out or swap Terreux beers for Stouts or other Bruery ales. I like their Stout/Sour blends, though.
    • Losing my access to off-shoot cans because I missed one release (I get it was in the fine print, but still) , I know that has nothing to do with RS, but just left a bad taste in my mouth.
    • The merchandise was poor quality. The first bottle opener broke after three uses and Bottle stopper broke after one
    • Anniversary party was extremely packed, and not very organized.
Hopefully this comes off as constructive criticism, since that's my intention here.

With that said, I can't justify dropping $295 to re-up again, not to mention costs and fees required to take full advantage of the membership.

Would definitely give it another shot if spreading out the payments was an option.

Hopefully things change in the future, or I'll win the lottery and not care about trivial things like money.

Till then I will probably set the money aside to go to an out of state festival like Wakefest or Dark Lord day instead.

Nothing says organized and not crowded like Dark Lord Day.

I can agree with the first two bullet points. But looking at next year, should be a great improvement with new BA stouts.

May I ask are you joining another club instead ?

Amen to that.... I love my Stouts and Bruery ales and just don't have any more interest in 750mL of Terreux RS beers. I have found the Frucht series to be magical and I don't need RS to get access to those.

The list for next year looks amazing and would have re-upped had that been the list for this past year. No new clubs. Will likely use that money for an out of state festival.

Separate clubs for Bruery and Terreux would be great, I'm sure the Bruery slots would sell out instantly. As is I give away most of my Terreux beers and write them off as a loss. They dilute the value of the membership for me and is probably a reason the memberships sell so slowly. It's hard for me to find people who like sour beer.

It's going to be the same way with my Wild Barrel membership next year but he has stated he wants to have separate wild/clean barrel memberships in the future. I hope this becomes the trend soon.

Stopped by the tasting room saturday night.

Really enjoyed Why wait for Weds ! I thought it was quite balanced. The raspberry wasn't too subtle, and also not too sweet. Could taste the wine barrel in the finish, not too strong otherwise I probably wouldn't like it. Reminiscent of Lindely Park, and better than WB BA 5th anniversary.

Finally tried Frucht Cucumber. Would always skip it since it's not a fruit, but I judged incorrectly. Very enjoyable.

SitR with blueberry & cinnamon...tasted exactly what it sounded like. I do love me some cinnamon, so it was a winner for me.

Did not care for the White Oak Sap w/ orange & vanilla. Boozy, not balanced - heavy wine flavor. Wasn't for me. Prefer the base White Oak.

Saw quite a few grabbing crowlers. Hopefully the 2 I ship out will be safe!

Stopped by og room Sunday. Finally tasted ZestyM--didn't find it as Orange heavy as others did--in fact liked the blend with the other flavors and ordered another bottle.

10 Lords was also better than I hoped. Feared it would be too anise heavy, but again nice blend. Reminded me of Monkish Magnificat (though that was almost two years ago). Picked up a couple--will be good holiday drinking.

White Oak Sap w O and V was only okay. All the flavors we're there but no pop. Would have liked a little more carb--seemed flat.

Had a splash of Why Wait and would have had more given time...but hurray Crowler! This Friday just got a lot better--can't wait to have more of that one.

I was eyeing the zesty m...but passed - you've convinced me - will try it next time.

I agree with the white oak sap,it was flat. Forgot about it. I wonder if that's intended?

Or dialing in the balance before bottling next year?
