Yea, having fun is a horrible business idea. As is making amazing beer, as they do. I'm sure there's a brewery somewhere that screams "stay off my lawn" you can frequent.

    Having fun is cool.

However, the 3 beers I've had from Pollyanna (Eleanor Cerise Noir, Lexical Gap & Mazzie) were not even close to amazing.

Just an opinion, but one I hold strongly.

I agree, those beers are not amazing, but certainly likeable. I like their stouts and porters. The Fun Size Milk Stout is worth trying. I'm not too excited about the marshmallow addition but I'll try one. Eleanor with vanilla on nitro is delicious. I am excited to get the BA Personal Chain Letter.

Anyone know the details for BBA Personal Chain Letter? I may just be missing it, but I don't see any price/limit info on their Facebook

I was just there. No limit. $18 for BBA PCL, $7 for toasted marshmallow fun size and $5 for party penguin malt liquor

One of the Pollyanna guys was handing out samples of Party Penguin. It was actually pretty good for a malt liquor, but I had low expectations of that.

I haven’t had this years BBA PCL but I’ve enjoyed the previous time they released it.

I’m drinking the Toasted Marshmallow right now. It’s not bad. A lot of chocolate in the nose. I don’t know if this has maple syrup but I am also getting that. Body is pretty thin for a stout though. But for $7 a bottle, it’s worth it.

Also, if anyone sees a Hubbard's Cave Coco Van in stores make sure to grab it. Stuff is great

I just opened a Coco Van the other night. I really enjoyed it. I couldn't believe how much toasted coconut was floating around inside the bottle.

Has anyone else seen 2015 High-Westified bombers popping up around the city?

I made the mistake of trying to dome one of these a few nights ago just to see if I wanted to grab any more while it's still on shelves. The first six ounces were great, the second four ounces less so and the other 15 found their way down the drain. Definitely one to share four ways IMO!

Pollyanna Personal Chain Letter base, on the right, and the 4 Roses bourbon barrel aged.

10 months in the barrel and a perfect compliment to a solid base RIS. Still time to get bottles.

So are plenty of those, so I will take you up on that. Thanks for the advice. I do think your use of the word "amazing" is quite liberal though.

I saw them and picked up a few. Kinda cool to see them cellared for 8.99 a bottle. Will be cracking one soon.

I like Eleanor, their porter, but its hard to mess up a porter. I've also enjoyed their recent run of fruited Berliners. Their other stuff (that I've had) isn't bad, but I'd agree "amazing" is a generous term.

Coco Van was a total drain pour for me. Way too much coconut led to a complete bitter, harsh after taste.

It's not fair to compare, but this is exactly how I felt about Coffee and Cakes. It was WAY too sweet, and I let it warm up to see if the coffee would eventually even out the sugar-y taste - to no avail, 748 oz of instant drain pour for me.

Our group drain poured Coffee and Cakes as well. One of the worst beers I've had in some time. I had zacaton last night at a fest and dumped my glass after one sip. I don't get the hype for their stouts.

Oh man, you really should have tasted it before buying and opening 30 bottles!
