Yeah! we love it. a really cool blend. one of the experimental hops in the blend pitches a coconut type aroma and I feel like it comes through a little bit. I dig it.

Madtree's taproom has Citra High and new Denali High flowing. Just thought I'd throw that out there! Also a new BA doppelbock!

I haven't had Yakima yet, but if it's better than this year's Hop Stalker, I will buy every bottle I see. Hop Stalker this year is out of this world good.

Jungle Jim's Fairfield just got some Stone Xocoveza and also some relatively fresh Lagunitas Sucks(bottled 9/29). Talked to one of the beer guys and it sounds like Born Yesterday will be coming real soon maybe tomorrow.

Last year I thought Yakima was noticeably better than Hop Stalker, but this weekend I drank them side by side and I thought Hop Stalker was the clear winner. This batch is amazing.

I thought Yakima was easily better last year. This year it's a toss up for me if that helps. Both are exceptional

I honestly can't remember either last year, specifically. But they are both always good. I have Yakima and Stalker in the fridge, so I may do them simultaneously and make a judgement.

Did a blind side by side by side with Yakima, Hop Stalker and Founders Harvest on Saturday night. I preferred Yakima, while my friend preferred Hop Stalker. Both of us thought Harvest was vastly inferior; boozy, overly sweet and unbalanced. Good news for Ohio hops.

My brother did that and had the same opinion

So weird, in the minority I guess, but I loved Hop Stalker last year, just had one yesterday and it was ok. Aroma was pretty amazing, but overall it actually tasted watered down to me. Still a good beer though.

    My .2

Last year Yakima by a ***** hair over Stalker

The year Stalker by a ***** hair over Yakima.

Almost wonder if its my own palate changing. Last year I thought Stalker was just a tad too sweet and Yakima was greener, danker and just more earthy and lively. This year I thought the opposite. by the smallest of margins

You can keep the .18 and the **** hair. I really do need to hit up the store and get some of each. Hopefully it’s not gone yet.

Only in a Jim Jefferies bit have I seen a more liberal use of the word ****.

I'll take Yakima over Stalker; ran across a few more cases at a Giant Eagle and had to grab more despite having plenty.

In regards to a previous post, IMHO Hop Juju is by far Fathead's best hoppy beer. I'd consider donating a kidney to have it brewed year round.

Bombers of BA DORIS are $18 so it's about 2 bucks cheaper for 2 12 oz. bottles.

Just to clarify the price for a 4 pack of Infusion A cans is $14.99, while a bomber is $9.99.

Yakima and Hop Stalker are two fantastic beers. Had them one after the other Saturday night and liked Yakima better. Did the same Monday night and liked Hop Stalker better. You can't lose either way. Both are great in different ways.

Did a side by side finally.

IMO... The difference is in the feel. For me at least (who knows, maybe I have a less than par batch or the way I poured etc...)

Yakima has almost a flat carbonation feel. Again, I use that word 'flat' very loosly. It's not actually flat. The stalker just seems a bit more robust in the mouthfeel. That said, the Yakima is actually smoother.

It's a great side by side! Even though, If forced to pick. I'll take Stalker. Yakima is FAR from being a loser. Just seems as though Fat Heads nailed it with Stalker this year. One of the better hoppy beers I have had from this state in a couple years.

Two new bottles from the BottleHouse this week. Nova, the new BA fruited sour is absolutely ridiculous. Today's bottle release is a BA brown with coffee, cacao, and vanilla. Highly highly recommend grabbing some of each for anyone in the area.
