OK full disclosure here. I had to run out this evening to Babies R Us. Could have either gone to the one on 46 in Clifton or the one off Rt 3 in Secaucus that basically shares a backyard with Hudson Wines. I went to the Secaucus location and I'll be damned if I didn't find myself in Hudson Wines 2 minutes after walking out of the BrU. They had Weird and Gilly from 8/22, 18 Watt from around the same time and Tell Shaky from September. I decided on Weird and Silly....$23.50 after tax. That is a very steep price...however, if I was going to get this from the source I'd be paying at least one bridge/tunnel toll and possibly even parking, not to mention the time it would take to get there and back. Probably not a great way to justify paying nearly $6/can but after cracking one tonight I am definitely glad I did. W&G is a very tasty and well made beer.

At the source it's usually $5 or so a can. After time and tolls, nearly $6 a can is probably a better deal than getting it there.

Way better deal. Doesn't help the issue that their beers are overpriced from the start but, being able to pick up with relative ease as opposed to the entire process of going to the source made sense at the time. Thanks @EnthusedAboutBeer for sharing its availability. Will have to try the Industrial Arts next time for comparison.

Taproom-only cans this Friday. The IIPA sounds interesting.

Just realized the new IIPA is a reference to a line in Quadrophenia, which is one of my all-time favorite albums, so I feel obligated to pick up a 4-pack

Would have loved to try Is This The Real Life but I've learned I don't have to spend $7 plus tax to drink a decent beer. Sucks, but...I'm comfortable with it.

Between Sand City and Other Half availability and Singlecut inconsistency, I have stopped drinking Singlecut.

The inconsistency is one thing but I'm not paying these prices anymore. I've drawn a line in the sand. I won't buy Greenpoint anymore unless it's a 4-pack from Whole Foods. I'm not paying more than $5 a can anymore. Grimm may, stress the word may, be my one exception. And, they're not gonna distribute soon, so that'll solve that.

How's Punk with a Stutter? Seen it around town but @ $7.49 a can. I'd buy one if I knew it was top shelf.

I had one last night. I thought it was one of the better IPA's I'd have from them in a while. For context, I also had Grimm's Striking, KCBC's Once Around the Sun and Gun Hill's Roll Call EC:5 and I thought it was the best of the 4.

Personally, I think it's one of Singlecut's better offerings.

Really? I was kind of underwhelmed. Gotta love subjectivity.

I had PWTS on draft at two places and 1 can. One draft pour was extremely good, some of the best Singlecut in awhile. The other draft pour was tasting pretty average. The can was slightly above average Singlecut, worth picking up one @ $6.99.

Sounds like there are consistency issues, which is unfortunately rather typical of them.

Anyone try that Nike session IPA they put out last week? Miles I believe it's called.

Curious how much they're charging for a 4-pack of those.

Probably about the value of a 2002 Toyota Camry.

a 4-pack for the sesssion at $20 at my local. $5.50 per can if buying by the can... for a 4.8% session IPA. I'm located in the lower Hudson Valley, about an hour from NYC. Double Dry Hopped Jenny Said for $23.50 4-pack.

Industrial Arts selling their 6.7% NEIPA (Wrench) for $15.50 a four-pack. Equilibrium putting out 4-packs of their 7-8% NEIPAs for $18-20 per four-pack. Grimm IPAs are cheaper too here. not sure why anyone would spend $$ on Singlecut here with the amount of breweries within an hour churning out similar quality for cheaper.

I'm not sure why this brewery isn't regarding competition when it comes to pricing.

when cans equate to the price of a pint at a bar, it stops making sense to buy cans.

seems to me they are mostly in line with their neighbors and local peers, at least for on-site pricing in the tap room (never been, bust basing on feedback from here I recall), but for whatever they seem to charge the retailers far more to keep a higher margin for them selves, and the retailers are in turn passing that on.

Its disappointing because I really like most stuff I try from them, but like others have said, its pushed out of my comfort zone price wise.

I've had a bunch of singlecut over the years, and all have been pretty good, nothing mindblowing.. that was until I tried the Jenny Said on tap at american beauty a few months ago. I thought it was incredible. The pricing aspect of these beers have definitely kept me away, but now I see they just released cans of that one and I'm tempted. Anyone try this batch yet?
