When I'm not selling butt scratchers at the ballpark, I am a direct support provider for mentally ill individuals in a 12-person group home setting (and taking comfort in the fact that every day brings me that much closer to retirement).

Software engineer. It's pretty great because the people I work with absolutely love beer (and drinking may or may not be allowed at work :grinning:)

Since I last posted in this string I became retired and a widower, neither one by choice. Slowly getting my life organized and and trying to re-define myself who was once half of a much loved and loving couple for 34 years. Not looking for sympathy, just sharing my truth.

After hours, we'd break out some beers while making dough and cleaning up. Its nice.

Hello Beer Advocates! This is my first post

I first came across this website about 3 years ago when I first discovered craft beer. Since then I have went on to complete my contract in the US Army, have a baby boy with my wife, and....

I am truly humbled and honored to say that my wife and I are now craft brewers as of 10/16

My wife and I started David's Brewing Co. in the stunning Adirondacks and we are currently starting to pipe and setup our brand new 7bbl system! We are going to can,keg and growler only and we will be mainly focusing on the beers that we love and we hope that the public will love them as much as we do. We plan on staying small, local, and have zero distribution. Our flagships will be two NE IPA coined "Forever Ago" and "For Emma" . Our goal is to open the doors and have product ready by Nov. 15th.

We may or may not have some Pappy barrels to play with ~Cheers BA's!

Irregardless of looking for sympathy or not, it sounds like your recent past has been less than desirable. Hopefully you will find some peace and happiness in the near future. !

Was a stay at home dad for the last three years after Hyundai Merchant Marine shut down all their customer service centers and my dad died within the same month of 2014.

But when the Mrs decided she needed a mental health break after 21 years of teaching elementary school, I went back into the workforce last month.

Been working at the call center for Weathertech on days since mid-September, will transition to night shift early next month.

Time for another one, beer friends, as my Revolution's Deth's Tar is just about done.

Thank you for the kind words!

Very much so. He is my Wife's cousin

Im happy to see someone get the reference. Without Justin this project would have had hurdles we probably couldn't get over in one lifetime.

Welcome to the BA site, XYZBrewer. We're glad that you're here. Good luck with getting your brewery going. Be sure to spend time in the Homebrewing forum. Maybe you can be a teacher as well as possibly a student to some of the discussions that occur there.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am of the opinion that there is no such thing as Master Brewer,or really a Master anything. Life is a non stop learning curve in my opinion. This craft is forever changing and making new, everyday.

Ive been in craft beer for only 3 years. I have been blessed with some great guidance, but I am nowhere near where I want to be and that really fuels my thirst to continue to learn and grow.

    Cheers!~

Been a fan since early Volcano Choir stuff. I've only had the chance to see him perform with Bon though. Seems like a really down to earth dude.

Where is the brewery going to be located? I couldn't find anything on the google. I know the lady would love to take a trip to try some Justin inspired beers.
