Huh? I got there at 645 too. There were 500+ people behind us. Less than 30 minutes after buying my bottle they sold out. So unless you cut in somewhere after buying your bottle, your story makes zero sense.

Dude I don't know what to tell you. I got my bottle and went to the back of the line and got a second bottle. I don't cut. I hate that shit.

Also, for what it's worth, the line did go really fast my second time through, it probably was about a half hour and they told us when we got up to the front the bottles were almost gone.

Sounds like it may be better I missed this. I would have probably arrived around 7 and been quite annoyed I only got 1. In the future, it seems like my choice is arrive before dawn for extra trade bait or show up around 10 and keep at least some self respect. Tough choice.

Also, are we sure there were actual homeless people? Neckbeards aren't exactly known for their hygiene.

That’s a fair take. I want to re-stress how easy it was to walk in and, you know, actually drink the beer. I realize it kicked earlier this time, but 1:30 was a perfect time to stroll in. While it was crowded, it was also somehow not hectic.

Any idea why the draft would kick so much earlier? The pour size was cut in half and there weren’t variants this time. Was the bottle count higher this time? I feel like a priority should be making sure there’s enough draft to last til close, IMO

I do know the bottle count was higher by 100 bottles. This is what a MoRE employee stated.

Wanted to give props to More Brewing and their owners. My family and I walked over this afternoon for a glass of Henna. On the way back we ran into the owners and some staff in a bobcat going down the Great Midwestern Trail picking up the bottles and other garbage left behind. They stopped and talked to us for a few minutes and then continued cleaning. Good dudes over there.

They shouldn’t have to do that but it is what it is. I heard from a guy at the bar that he never saw a police officer all day. Is that true?

I only saw them driving bye in squad cars. Never actually saw one outside their vehicle.

People were good for the most part about cleaning up. Few jackasses left empty bottles laying around but other good people picked them up and threw them away. I will say that if MoRE is going to allow more bottle sharing, they need to provide more garbage bins. For the second release in a row, all the bins were overflowing.

Overall though, the release was improved over the first Henna. Crowd size was large and they did well considering it was only their second official big stout release.

I never saw one. I gotta say, i saw very little trash discarded wherever and very little douchbaggery. Really low drama day it seemed

Villa Park Police are pretty chill. If you’re not and idiot you should be fine.

I was thinking to myself, when I arrived around 4, that the area was remarkably clean, given the circus-like interest and posts. I was hoping the posts were merely hyperbole. But good 'policing' by management and staff is a good check on neckbeard idiocy.
I agree. Well done Shawn and MORE.

just snorted my beer through my nose reading that. Spot on.

Also, I saw these bottles listed for $185 - $200 on a Facebook resale page ... Good God this is insane.

I just saw on Untappd that there were just 500 bottles of Side Note: S’more Luv. So the amount of beer produced has increased in Shaun’s new situation. Also worth mentioning, at RAM it wasn’t unusual for a special tapping at a release to kick within 30 minutes total

So maybe I missed it, but I don’t recall reading whether or not people could leave and come back after getting a ticket for the bottle sales or if they had to stay.

I only saw one that wasn't in a squad car. Around 9:00 where the Boy Scout kids were selling Burgers and the other guy that was selling hot dogs, there was a cop enjoying a hot dog for breakfast. That was his only interest outside of his car.

I know the neighbors are complaining, so it will be interesting to see if they have another one that isn't ticketed. That's a double edge sword, but I'd certainly say these releases bring a lot of money to the area. McDonald's and the vendors were pretty busy today.

Yeah the cops were more present but also chill at Double Rainbow. We are exactly 8 weeks from the previous release. If that is a developing pattern, I’ll see you all on December 16th with our galoshes on
