Also, Space Dream has lactose and oats and it's 6%. So I assumed there will be a Space Daydream soon enough, which will basically be a lactose and oat version of Space Diamonds.

    My head's starting to hurt.....

The output seems to have become pretty predictable at this point. Maybe my pallet is just changing, but I used to get more excited about these releases. It seems like now they just take a beer that was good, add lactose and oats, and call it a "Oat Cream IPA". Then they DDH it, add a dollar per 4pk. Then they make it imperial, add 2 dollars. Then they DDH the imperial. Rinse/Repeat.

I guess I at too many member berries this morning, feeling nostalgic.

yeah its gimmicky and i bet that some of those additives are really not good for you. especially if youre pounding > 32 ounces a night.

palettes shift and i just cant stand the oaty lactose “dream” TH shake like beers anymore. My waistline cant either.

Maybe an attempt at redemption/opportunity to dial it in? Seemed like a lot of the initial impressions weren't all that flattering.

I quite enjoyed the first batch of Oh... but didn't care as much for DDH Oh..., I hope that's what they are trying to do.

Did not hear much about Blocktoberfest. Thanks goodness I only got one can. Man, it smelled bad and tasted worse. I would say my can was off but think it was supposed to taste that way. Anyone else have this reaction?

I found Blocktober to be pretty benign... how bad a beer are we talking here?

Not oxidized bad, just really funky. I am not a fan of DDH Stacks on Stacks but chalk that up to preference. This was just so outside my norm for OH

What a lineup of cans for a Monday night! Sat at the bar tonight and a ton of people were shocked when they were told there were 5 different beers still available.

Thinking about making the trip up this Saturday. Is taking the subway in feasible? would an 8:30 arrival have me finished up by say 11am? I am use to bringing my chair at Tired Hands, same thing at OH? Also if I have beers to trade my understanding is this line is the place to do that... fair? cheers.

Subway is definitely feasible it’s how I and many people that live in the city get there. The F train to smith-9th street drops you off right there. 8:30 arrival for 11am departure, not sure about this, it is certainly possible. By all means bring a chair but I wouldn’t drop it and leave, good chance it will not be there when you get back. Tons of trading goes on in line, go for it.

Subway is feasible. F/G go to Smith 9th Street. Short walk from that station (you’ll see the line.) I’d say an 8AM arrival should have you done by 11 but an earlier arrival might be better for you. You can bring a chair, but expect to sit in it. This isn’t a drop off and walk away situation like Tired Hands. People wait in the line the whole time. There is a lot of trading that goes on in line. People usually present their available cans outside of their coolers like they are selling cattle at a farm auction.

The subway is feasible. The F/G let off 2 blocks up. Let's just check the weekender to make sure there are no planned construction changes....

830 arrival should have you finished up by 11am if you aren't planning on staying for any pours in the taproom, maybe a tad later. I will say though, 830 would've shut you out of some beer on the last couple releases of the most appealing beers. Last week you would've missed Citra/Galaxy, a few ago you would've missed Citra Double Daydream. It's unclear how much that will be affected by the lower limits.

I suspect if you leave a chair you'll be fine. People talk a lot of smack about it, but at the end of the day, nobody really feels like messing with anybody else's stuff.

There is a lot of trading that goes on up and down the line.

I am not a subway expert at all, but If you're coming all the way from PA, I'd actually consider driving. I drive to OH from NJ all the time and have never had an issue finding parking. Also, so much easier tossing the cans right into the cooler in my trunk vs carrying them...unless you're only buying a couple of four packs.

    Just my two cents.
