What happened, did they have a pooper explode or something?

 

Past few times I've seen this mysterious sort of closure at other places, this has been the case.

 

Based on Cycle's cryptic post and not saying straight out what it is while intimating they are going to be closed for a good while; my guess is mold has been found inside their walls...right now they are probably inspecting how bad it has spread and then will need to determine how much will need to be torn out and rebuilt...would not surprise me a bit based on how nasty that strip of storefronts are

 

Stop spreading bs. There is no mold. This is strictly a sewer/plumbing problem.

 

Hopefully they take this time to remodel those gross ass bathrooms

I bet you will start seeing alot of Cycle beers showing up on tap around town. He has to sell it, specially since he mentioned that there production has not been affected.

Fans of Cycle Brewing are going to have to wait to visit the brewery’s tasting room for the foreseeable future.

The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based brewery has announced that its tasting room on Central Ave. is closed until further notice due to issues with the original plumbing that is in the building. According to Cycle, the unexpected closure could have an impact on the brewery’s next brewery-only releases that are scheduled to be announced “in the coming weeks.”

“We are closed because our building is still using original plumbing, it has failed somewhere underneath the building, possibly underneath the neighbors building, there is truly no way of knowing but we are currently without functioning plumbing and will have to cut up a lot of concrete and dig up a lot of old pipes in order to install new plumbing and cap off the old stuff,” said a Cycle spokesperson, in a Facebook message to Tenemu.

While the tasting room is closed until further notice, Cycle’s production and distribution of non-brewery exclusive releases to retailers will be unaffected.

 

And of course, we're gonna be in town this weekend. Oh well, gives us more reason to hit other places we haven't been to yet in the area. Bummer for Cycle though.

 

Unfortunate timing for me too, I will be in town next weekend. Any suggestions on other good places to go to get their beers?

 

Maybe if enough people ask on their Social Media they will put out a list of the places that have cycle on tap.

 

Hops and Props always has a great selection of Cycle and other local favorites. It's my fave beer bar in all of downtown St. Pete. Definitely a must visit. You can walk from there to Ale and the Witch as well which has an awesome outdoor seating area and pretty solid beer list as well.

 

On another cycle note. 7 bottles coming at you as soon as they open.

 

And some legit can't miss bottles at that. Haven't been this excited for a while
