It's the same beer as the original Oops but just renamed for the fundraiser for their coworker/friend. Something tells me they will either have a special beer on tap that day or release a second can unnanounced.

You will probably be in luck getting some cans if you go Saturday. They usually do a weekly can release between Wed-Thurs, so they may release a new batch of cans over the next few days. Even if they don't, they may have cans of Amarillo Soup and Second Wave left. They will definitely have Southbound Stout cans left too.

Had this last night at that fundraiser at murmrr...definitely dug it. I was also told there are some different hops in this version, but maybe not?

SC posted an Instagram story yesterday with the label and wrote “Galaxy, Mosaic, Mandarina Bavaria”. So I’m presuming they’re using those! (Side question: what hops are normally used in Oops?)

Also side side question: how was the fundraiser? I couldn’t make it, but looked super chill and seemed to have a great lineup of beer. There was just some key info missing that had me like Tree House???

Has anyone gotten a growler in the last couple days? the photos on facebook/IG dont show "no growlers" under One, Power, and Radical seem to have been removed. can anyone confirm this wasnt just a mistake?

    Thanks

Great question, I have noticed the same thing. I dont think it is a mistake, I think the pattern is no growlers of these on weekends, but growlers during the week. My guess is they want to make sure they have a good supply for people at taproom on weekend, so they do no growlers.

Fundraiser was well-run. Lines for beer, if there was one, were no more than 5 minutes and there were plenty of tables and chairs to sit in. Pours ranged from 3oz to full pours into 8oz plastic cups and people were very chill about letting you carry more than one beer or poured more if you asked. Treehouse reps weren't there but they sent down a bunch of cans and growlers. The special stuff like Doubleshot, Julius, Alter Ego, etc. was all gone within the first 5 minutes and we were left with Bright, Eureka, and Sap. They also had a few growlers from Foam but since non-beer volunteers were giving out large pours it was also gone in a few minutes after opening. Nonetheless plenty of good beer from everyone else and big props to SC, Grimm, and Equilibrium for bringing out their unreleased beers.

All in all a good time.

Agreed on the account for the fundraiser. I was lucky enough to be towards the front of the line for getting in and the tree house station was essentially giving you half a can of whatever you wanted. They poured my 3 beers at the same time along w a foam pour before I walked away to enjoy. I ended up leaving and heading over to other half cause I was w an out of town friend who really wanted to check out other half but had a great time at murmrr.

The one big gripe was the food situation. Details were murky about everything but food was a cup of mac n cheese at sporting venue prices and not included.

So 2 is drinking damn fine right now. It seems to have rounded out quite a bit and is drinking like a sweet, Galaxy bomb right now. Not a bad time to open a can if you're holding onto a few...

^ I've been hanging on to those, thanks for the heads up! I had a feeling that beer would only get better.

Went to go pick up a 4-pack of Cullen'd yesterday and saw a new can behind the bar. An 8.2% Double IPA called "Best Seat In The House" with artwork from the same girl who did the Close Talker can. Didn't get any more details from the dude behind the bar, but I was told it should be coming out soon.

It's an homage to Kevin, the head brewer/co-owner's pop and coming out soonish. Should be killer.

Any Cullen cans left? This beer is seriously fucking awesome. SC has dialed it in tremendously lately.

Might be on Long Island for work next week and would love to drop in for cans but don't know how sand city works? What days do they release cans? Would there be a line? Do they sell out- etc. any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Lately...they've had multiple cans on sale whenever they're open. Check their Instagram page, that's the best place for up to date info. Regardless, you're gonna get good beer, cans or no.

They really only sell out limited release, and otherwise, the lines have been relatively short after releases, and non-existent in the taproom.
