... and a culture where tipping employees is commonplace is what makes it makes it possible for employers to exploit them like this (once again, not speaking to Tired Hands specifically in any way).

No it doesn't, a culture where we don't mandate a living wage and benefits makes this possible. Millions of people work untipped jobs who don't make a living wage or get benefits. Tipping has nothing to do with it.

Damn, this thread is as dead as non-shake lines..

I'm too lazy to link an image.

"Tomorrow at 5:00pm, at our @fermentaria, we will be releasing cans of Five Leaves Left (iv), Extra Knuckle, and Alien Church!
    .
Fives Leaves Left (iv) is the fourth in a five beer series exploring the interplay of a single hop and a single additional sugar source in an oat-based Double IPA. (iv) was brewed with Candi Syrup. Hopped and dry hopped intensely and singularly with Citra. (iv) is ripe with heavy tropical passion fruit, white gummy bears, and candied ruby red grapefruit. 8.0% abv. $20/four pack.
    .
Extra Knuckle is our ALL MOSAIC IPA! Brewed with pillowy malted wheat. Hopped intensely and singularly with the multifaceted and very cool Mosaic. A bit of a throwback to the glory days of just discovering this very cool and diverse hop at our #BrewCafé, this beer makes our brains feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. 6.3% abv. $18/four pack. .
    .
Alien Church is our freaky scary Reptoid Alien with Flavor Photosynthesizing Tongue IPA. Brewed with heavy amounts of oats and extraterrestrially hopped with our favorite sticky drippy juicy American varietals. Luscious layers of bright mango, drippy guava & passionfruit. 7.0% abv. $18/four pack.
    .
Allotments will be announced ASAP when we are finished canning tomorrow afternoon! #dreambeer

    Thoughts on Extra Knuckle anyone?

I remember liking Extra Extra Knuckle better than Extra Knuckle but from my notes both were solid.

Extra Knuckle was excellent. If I wasn't currently swimming in beer I'd swing by for some.

Are We OK? is unbelievable. I've only had one Milkshake, but it was way better than that. I really hope we see the OK series again.

They need to do more releases like tomorrow. Can't get there but Thursday is a strong possibility and I'm betting all 3 will be there.

Aren't most of them like tomorrow (today) now? It really only gets crazy for the shakes and voids or various bottles.

I think the Baltic porter sold out last week but that was a low case number.

Even the Para bottles were around for a week... and last week's release was a shake in everything but name and that lasted until the next day.

... yeah, but this is the most important part to some Tired Hands consumers.

No doubt the lack of line for Are We OK? was a result of traders and flippers getting very disappointing returns on their investment in the first 2 OK releases.

Had they thrown in some vanilla and pectin and called it Triple Passionfruit Milkshake it would have been a nightmare. Surely they are aware of this. Are we allowed to give them credit when they toss us non-trading, non-selling folks a bone like this, or are we strictly complaints only around here?

Can't say, but like mentioned above,
No! No Credit, No Bones, Only Void!

I'm pretty stoked about not having to wait for these tonight. I have a feeling this Citra version of 5 Leaves is going to be very good.

Hopefully I can swing by tomorrow and grab a 4 of each. I loved Are You OK, Am I OK was just.......ok.

So I was there last night for late dinner and they still had cans of both 5 Leaves and Extra Knuckle. Interesting that the Alien Church sold out before these two.

Anyway, my larger question is how much of a line is there anymore on Wednesdays at 5 oclock on non-milkshake non-Only Void releases? It seems like the norm now is cans of non shake/OV beers last easily until Thursday and sometimes Friday even the IPAs. So is anyone even bothering standing in line for the initial release anymore? Have the chairs gone away almost completely?

Boy, how things change in a year. Here I thought the Township was going to have to address the weekly line thing, but now it seems there is no more line unless a shake/OV is released. Very interesting.

I'm wondering if the trade demand is dying off for Tired Hands. Maybe not for Shakes or OV but everything else. There are so many more breweries producing the haze these days.

That is my reaction/reply as well. I am guessing that a significant portion of the line was due to trading and if the trade value is decreasing this likely would result in a lessening of the lines.

    Cheers!

So........is the Milkshake hype soon to fall off too?

I would say yes. I haven't traded ipas, or cans for that matter in a while but I would say it's across the board. Unless it's a Milkshake/Curiosity/Imperial Tree House/Headroom type trade it's been crickets on the boards. I think two things have happened as well, 1. Like you said there is so much being produced now, especially in this area (Hidden River, Stickman, Levante, La Cabra's release today seems along that vein, Forest and Main crowlers, Free Will is trying?, Hollow Earth, and Sole, and that's just within the Philadelphia area, not even including any localish Jersey breweries of which there are now a lot too) and 2. most of the regular traders I have seen or interacted with at this point have had the staples from most of the haze hype breweries.

They are releasing higher allotments and more beers than they use to... also Hophands is in the fridge almost full time. As for trading its tough, they are a lot more expensive than just about everyone.... I also think the hype has relented a bit with the 5 leaves releases... While they are really good and I love them experimenting, it just doesn't sound as cool as DDH this and lactosed that.... We also had a period there with double releases every week.. that can make it tough on the wallet.
