    Thanks!

    You are world class!

I want this not to be true so much that I am trying to find someone other than GI to blame for what may have happened. :grimacing:

I probably shouldn't have said it was coming from the distributor. I just assumed because it was said at their tradeshow.

It's crazy how fast news travels! No one from Beechwood said anything about it last night so I'm curious where the rumor is coming from.

That would be quite a blow considering they bottled it over a month ago, and included it in the media hype-review.

I'm guessing they probably didn't bottle the bad stuff...

No. Please no. One potential rumor of infection of one of my favorite BA beers from a credible Ba source is enough for one day. Add to that the no BW Reserve (the main one I was really looking forward to this year) and me (or anyone I know) not getting into Prop Day. Let's just say a certain posterior appendage is starting to get a little sore.

When your barrel house is the size of Rhode Island, a few barrels are going to catch some bugs. I expect it will be commonplace going forward with BCS variants.

Nothing a little almond extract and blueberry juice can't fix....

I can't remember a year where a chunk of the coffee didn't get dumped.

Coffee does weird shit in beer sometimes. It's not even always infection (though could very well be)

Makes sense. I do weird shit sometimes when I'm introduced to (too much) beer.

Had 16 only twice. Once last Turkey Day and once about a month ago. Sooooo different.

First time was straight peppery ashtray. Second time, chocolate-y and fudge-y with a little tingle of heat. I was super surprised. Could it have changed that much or is there batch variation?

I just checked, Sep 21st was A bottle date for 16 coffee. I'm skeptical GI would have released the Reserve BW info this week, and said nothing about any "not-where-they-wanted-it-coffee" that was likely bottled a month ago.

I think right now this is just fuel to feed the rumor mill fire, no offense @Vitacca. I know you are just explaining what someone else heard.

And they've announced the BCBS ticketed event on Black Friday at Clybourn. $100, which I think is an increase of about $25. The curious thing is the bottle that you get is TBD...I don't like getting a ticket w/o knowing which bottle.

Man, that seems like a lot ($100) for 1 TBD bottle and 18 oz of draft pours?
