Well, Very glad to know this! Thanks for posting! I'm in "ear-shot" enough that I might make that drive.

I wonder if that means that Founder's will not sell-out immediately in person (i.e. if I get there the day of the release, I am guaranteed a 4 pack). That seems hard to believe.

Again, isn’t that email talking about the Marsala bottles? What shop in NY are you?

Yeah ive been talking about the marsala bottles the entire time that come out to 29 per bottle so i dont see any retailer in nyc selling for less than 40... Not with the rents we pay

Got it. I missed the post where you mentioned 350 a case. I was talking about the other bottle. I haven’t seen Marsala bottles hit the city which is why I was asking what shop you are?

I can confirm cases of the maple bourbon variant ran for around that per case in NYC. Price for the bottles at cost is around 28.5. Source: I've seen a 12% delivery invoice.

This exceeds my limit of $26.50 for a 22 oz bottle.

Thanks! Haha I dont know why @Hopsonhops felt the need to post an email, I wasnt questioning his statement, I just didnt see the previous post. I got mixed up and didnt realize which bottles were being discussed.

They were released at the brewery today. $35 (limit 6) for Maple and $50 (limit 1) for Double Barrel. Meanwhile, they're $37 and $31 in New Jersey.

I was planning on going today too.....Apparently adding Mexican cake to anything adds value..
Sorry but cake break alone is a mess. And the fact it's hitting distro hundreds of miles away for cheaper? Can't justify it. Coconaughty was less and Im sure a wayyyyyyy better beer... I'll save my money for a BA cake ticket..

That, plus likely a high production run, finally helps explain why Liquid DoubleFudge was priced at $7.99 in the Boston area...

Evil Twin & Westbrook Collaborating on Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Mexican Biscotti Toasted Coconut Cake Break

Evil Twin Brewing and Westbrook Brewing Co. are collaborating again.

The result is Maple Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Mexican Biscotti Toasted Coconut Cake Break, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with almonds, cocoa nibs, coffee, cinnamon, habanero peppers, toasted coconut and vanilla beans before being aged in maple bourbon barrels and packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

As the name suggests, the base beer is a combined recipe of one of each individual brewery’s more popular releases: Evil Twin’s Imperial Biscotti Break, an 11.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with almonds, coffee and vanilla that was first released in 2012, and Westbrook’s Mexican Cake, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with almonds, cocoa nibs, coffee, cinnamon sticks, fresh habanero peppers and vanilla beans that was first released in 2012.

Last year, the two breweries released two other variants: Maple Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with almonds, cocoa nibs, coffee, cinnamon, habanero peppers and vanilla beans before being aged in maple bourbon barrels for 16 months and Double Barrel Aged Imperial Mexican Biscotti Cake Break, a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with almonds, cocoa nibs, coffee, cinnamon, habanero peppers and vanilla beans before being aged in both maple bourbon barrels and Marsala wine barrels for 16 months.

An email sent to both breweries for additional information was not immediately returned.

    There's nothing I'd rather spend $50 on.

Add peanut butter and you have all the new money adjuncts crammed into one beer.

Yep! There goes another over-priced and over-hyped Westbrook/Evil Twin collaboration. I'm sure it'll be in $35-45 price range.
