Well, it's after the fact. I have a 2008 Angel's Share sitting here. Would anyone know if these particular ale's age well? Yeah I know, try it out. The thing is I need the money right now and am aiming to sell it. Anyone suggest a value for it as well? I'm not trying to sell it here, just don't know if it's any good or what it might be worth.

Where are you going to sell it? Do you hope to get more than you paid for it? There are still 3008 Angel's Share on the shelf by me and they haven't moved in 4 years at retail price, so if you're expecting big bucks you're gonna come up short.

3008? No wonder you know so much, you're from the future, traveling back and forth through time assembling the greatest whale cellar known to man. By the way, in the next thousand years, has Tomme finally figured out how to carbonate a beer?

    Cheers future boy!

How much $ you can sell it for has nothing to do with how well it ages.

If it's not flat, infected, or otherwise bad from the beginning, the 2-3 year old bottles I've had have been excellent. Definitely worth over $9000.

Wrong. Not a penny over $8,550.00.

Also, don't forget to declare your gains on next year's income taxes. Unfortunately, aging beers doesn't increase your adjusted basis.

I'll throw in $450 worth of Natty to make up the difference. That's roughly, what, 1125 cans or 13,500 oz of beer? I think the other person comes out ahead.

You're saying you don't store your cellar beer in overseas institutions? If not, I've got a guy for that.

    Brilliant.

Beer tax shelters. If I'd written about that, I'd have made Law Review for sure.

ShogoKawada simply forgot the comma. what he meant was there's "3,008" left on shelves in his area.
    :grinning:
i saw about 10 in the cooler of a single location a week or so back ($16.99).

I had the 08 brandy recently, completely flat, and i liked it a lot. Didn't for a second think of drain pouring.
