If by everywhere you mean LA/OC/SD then probably since HH started in the LA area. Friends with a few here in SD....good times hanging out with them at festivals.

 

I hear you have to learn the secret HH handshake and the password in order to get the special pours and access to the backroom of all the hot breweries.

 

Will someone please tell me what HH is? Haha

 

Legend has it that it was the HH's that rolled up in to Monkish one day and saw the NO IPA/NO MSG sign and just trashed the place and now Henry has to pay "protection money" to them causing him to live a life that involves making weekly can releases. You think he makes a killing off them? Nah, man. not after the HH enforcers roll up for a "safety meeting"

hop heads, its a pretty large tasting group that has connections at a lot of the popular la/oc breweries

 

I tired joining that group on untappd about 5 months ago. they didn't even bother with a response to me. lol

 

They bring on new members once, maybe twice a year. You have to be nominated by a current member and then get voted on. Going to their bottle shares as a guest and just being a generally nice individual will usually get your name brought up.

It is kinda like GVC (GoodVibesCrew) and Hop Squad, and I think a few others whose names I am forgetting.

That has been my downfall in the beer scene.

 

Wait, all this is serious? There are like gangs of beer drinkers? Is it like blood in, blood out? This has to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard of.

So long as you comply with parking, you can "technically" line up three days ago.

 

GEEZ how I want to be a HH so bad...

 

Wow, I’m pretty sure my wife would leave me if I joined a drinking group and I was in my mid 30’s. It doesn’t help that I wouldn’t have time for this as well.

 

And see, I don't see it as any different than drinking on the weekends with a set of good friends. Also I drink with about half of those in that picture already, hehehe.

 

I think the difference is that this is really organized. They have an Instagram page and have their own gear, plus who knows what else
