I've had a '16 Baptista sitting in my fridge for a few months now and I just cracked it tonight. Total drain pour. Cinnamon was all but gone and definitely had the exact characteristics you mentioned.

Do you know if Baptista is still at the brewery?

The very last keg of Rye BA Coffee Maple Medianoche went on while I was there today so I highly recommend folks go try it before it's gone forever. It was incredible.

Latest batch of tweak dropped this week. Yeah, it's not the hyped pastry stout du jour, but it is still a king among men IMO.

Interesting, since they have an event called Tweakend scheduled for Dec 2-3.
But I think they did something similar last year w/Tweak, released with no fanfare

    It definitely is.
And Triple BBB is pretty great. The coconut is lurking as a light after taste. I can't see bothering to age this one at all. Drink it now

Not sure if it has been mentioned already, but OB is releasing Java Fidy alongside BA 1050 on Saturday...

Thinking I’ll stop by in the early afternoon and hopefully score some of the former. Heading to Broomfield for a show so it wouldn’t be too far out of the way for me from Fort Collins.. really looking forward to checking out 4 Noses taproom for the first time more than anything actually.

I wish all these releases weren't only on Saturdays for those of us that work weekends! Is it so hard to have a Tuesday or Wednesday release?!?!

Far more people work M-F than work weekends and you can't schedule any kind of release that works perfectly for everyone. I think it'd be cool to see more week day releases as well, but I am also totally fine with missing some things as it saves my wallet.

    How was the line?

It was quick. They handed out numbered wrist bands and then everyone dispersed, grabbing pours and waiting for their number to be called.

I showed up at 9:45, and am about 30 or numbers away from being called. They're doing 10 at a time. Most folks grabbing half cases each or full cases each.

Tweak was weak on coffee this year too.

Havent had this year's yet. But that stinks. Coffee is si popular in stouts but is so difficult to do. There are a ton of coffee stouts that come off as way too roast-toasty or green pepper, or it becomes too astringent and overpowers the base beer. I think the best I've had was last year's bcbcs with the cold brew concentrate method. Had great vibrant juicy coffee layers rather than the typical over roasted kind. If that makes any sense ha. Just venting a little.
