With the Open Bottle closed on Mondays, keep an eye on The Beer Temple Monday to see if they get any Transient. Juice is Loose was canned today so don’t mind me if I’m getting my hopes up here

Any Rum Jumbie left in Bridgman?

I was there earlier today and Rum Jumbie was on the shelf and on tap. Not sure how much they have left. 6 bottle limit.

I'm hoping he sends some of the underrated saisons & wilds that have been at the brewery for a while into distro in addition to the hops!

I went on Thursday and there were only 2 bottles on the shelf and no cases out front when I left. Not sure if there were more cases hiding in the back or not.

Ha! I could wait a century for Tapistry...Not good.

But seriously, it will be nice to have Transient available in the city...

Mind to Devour about out at The Beer Cellar as of 40 minutes ago. Refraction and Crunchable were still going strong. Very cool day to see Transient here to stay even if they’re just monthly drops

Monthly drops beats sitting in traffic on 80/94!

    Agree!

Curious what distro will mean for the IL membership? can we now get member beers brewed in Bridgman & sidestep the "has to be brewed in IL" law...?

Scooped up and drank Rum Jumbie, Wayward and Maigre last night.

    Really really liked Maigre.

This Mind to Devour Can is not quite on the level of what I had on draft last July. I compared pics and this is considerably darker with more of a malt character and it’s mouthfeel is less soft. Still a good beer but not the same

How fresh are these Chicago-market cans?

Great question. Mind to Devour was released on 10/20 and 9/21. Refraction Citra was 9/21. Crunchable was 11/1. These dates are based on IG and Facebook posts and it’s certainly possible these are not the only canned dates.

These mind to devour cans are the 10/20 brew date version FYI. Super good, but did not have that July version so I could not compare. Not getting any malt (arch enemy of the NEIPA).

Daylight and outdoor vs indoor lighting differences aside, you can probably see what I mean

I felt the same about the last release of flightless. Got way more malt than in previous batches. It’s one of the reasons i slipped this chicago drop.

I was worried the cans were a bit old, and didn’t want to take a chance, since the last fresh can I had wasn’t the best.
