Agreed, and probably not worth dropping $82 to test it. This is draft at the tap room for me.

Million dollar question is this because of reduced production or same production to get beer in more people's hands.

It is just a quadruple batch of ACE with new labels. I'll take the max!

Great idea, wondering if canning line can accommodate that?

Is it really a given anymore that the beers will be amazing? There have been some OH releases recently that were let downs (even off-batches of their regulars). Not a fan at all of the way they worked this release.

My guess is that its in barrels or something? Or they are bottle conditioning it like Creamies? I'd guess if its the latter we'll see it on draft when one of the stouts up right now kicks.

Speaking of stouts - anyone try either of the cognac smoke screens yet?

would have been interesting if they did a wet hopped batch.

In my opinion, at this moment, it's hard to argue that Other Half doesn't make the best IPA's in the NYC area.

On the flip side, I don’t think anyone in this forum would disagree with the fact that they run their business pretty awfully from a PR and customer standpoint.

I get it. It’s a business, but brand equity is critical to any business plan. For instance, they should take customer suggestions to improve their business instead of acting like a high schooler on Instagram by deleting comments and blocking people.

Either way, we all line up on Saturdays for a good release and deal with the mules & all the other bullshit because we know the beer is worth it.

It's become so rare that the letdowns are a surprise.

*Best IPA's, yes. It's not hard to argue that they don't make the best anything else.

LOL... this is hilarious. The 'test' is whether or not they can release the same beer and sell 800 cases in a day. Imagine if they just did a quad batch of ACE. Thats what this pretty much is. They are just making slight tweaks to the hop. I'm sure the beer will be good but $160 for a sensory experiment is ridiculous. I'm glad they dropped limits but it's not like they are 4 different beers (in my eyes).

not even mad tho. rather go and try the beers first. then potentially take home a growler or too. its just funny seeing how the trade/mule scene goes crazy for what will essentially be another ho-hum OH or Trillium IPA

So am I in the minority by thinking that Other Half has surpassed Trillium with regard to the quality of their IPAs?

Mules gotta get their beer free somehow. Lots of butthurt mules on the FB pages today. Here is a thought.. go buy the beer and drink it.
