DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2017)

I was at K-1 (in Arlington) this morning and saw a few bottles.

 

Has that Sierra Nevada Fresh Hop Pack landed anywhere in DC?

rodmans had about a case yesterday mid afternoon. had a few 2016s as well, but wanted 5$ more for them

So it's absurdly expensive ($27/4 pack), but man, Evil Twin's Wabi Sabi IPA is absolutely stellar. It's maybe the best NE-style IPA I've ever purchased in a store. Worth picking up if you can get past the price.

 

Where did you pick it up?

 

CBC had some as of yesterday (I picked up a single can on Friday, tried it over the weekend, and loved it enough to go back and grab a 4-pack, even at that price).

 

Right Proper is finally canning! Looks like just Raised By Wolves for now, but i'm gonna drink so much Diamonds, Fur Coat, Champagne if that ever ends up in cans.

 

Agreed. I bought just one can at that price, but it reminded me a lot of Aslin's Orange Starfish. Or something between OS and DOS.

 

Grabbed this beauty at Arlington Brew Shop yesterday - 5-6$ per can, 2 can limit pp. Looks like Great Lakes Blackout Stout landed at both CBC and Brew Shop.

Unrelated, but has anyone had the 3 Stars Grand Cru? Thoughts?

 

I bought a can of the Tears of Green and it was a diacetyl-filled mess. Stay away!

That's funny that they got BBGBS before the release Saturday.

 

yeah wondering if maybe it's 2016 or they put it out early by mistake. either way, definitely interested in grabbing some early if this is the case at other locations.
