pass.......I have a few bottles sitting from 2012-15. I find them too sweet. Much rather have other BBA stouts. Still a really good beer but not one I buy anymore.

    Enjoy

This happens a lot on here: people claim shelves across the country are groaning under the weight of BBA Stouts better than BCBS, then have a hard time actually naming any.

I've enjoyed watching that guy's cheeks get chubbier as his channel grows older. Jelly of that box.

Holy smokes, the BCBS allotment pp has been announced and it's massive:

    At Binny's Lincoln Park:
    5 BCBS
    3 BCBW
    2 BCBCS
    2 Prop
    1 Northwoods
    1 Reserve

    At other Binny's:
    3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1

Might be more relevant to the thread in the Great Lakes forum.

Pardon my ignorance but how is that massive? For those out us out of state it looks like an an extra bottle of coffee.

No worries man, I posted in the wrong thread. Last year, for example, allotments at Binny's Lincoln Park in Chicago (the best location) was 2 BCBS, 1 BCBW, 1 Coffee and 1 Prop.

    5, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1 is quite a bit more.

Got it. Im just speaking as a New Yorker who's only ever had problems getting coffee bottles and the one yearly variant. Last year for example, coffee was harder to find than bottles of rare. At the same time, cases of BCBC and Barleywine sat around for days if not weeks, so I guess I just dont understand these limits.

Shit in Maryland we get regular at 1-2 per person. And thats it.

I guess this is why so many people hate on Goose Island. (Amongst other things...)

I'm curious: How long do stores have it (that is, do they get enough but limit it enough that you have the option of running around to a few stores to ultimately get 6 or so if you want?). Seems like practices vary greatly by location.

If I come across a few I'd buy them, but I won't chase. I think Central Waters Reserve BA Stouts are far superior, those I would chase.

As someone who thinks the exact opposite. Do you mind elaborating? To me, they have several opposing qualities. So, I'm just curious what you dislike about BCBS that you like about the CW.

I find Bcbs to be a bit cloyingly sweet, to the point of distraction. Add to that's it's extremely viscous, I feel like I'm drinking syrup. The CW 16 I was referencing IMO was just a tremendous beer, lots of bourbon, much easier drinking, still lots of rich chocolate.
