The FW Sacramento location is a more traditional "Brick and Mortar" building Tap Room. It opens at 11am. Similar to Berkeley and Napa.

Just had a report from San Mateo that only Churro is left; apparently One Star and Galaxy Juice sold out in 45 mins flat.

Seems pretty different. Less citrus and berry, replaced by more melon and doughy sweetness. The ABV is rather present.

Granted, I definitely poured this while it was a bit too warm, so keep that in mind. I like it, but it wasn't like Pepe, where I struggled to keep from opening a second can.

I usually find Fieldwork IPAs ready to drink from the start but I might give my second can another week or two. At the very least, I'll let it get colder before serving.

I attended and had a blast! Thought it was really well executed and I really appreciated the cap on ticket sales - never felt crowded and didn't really have to wait more than a minute or two to try a beer. Solid list of breweries and beers. The tacos were on point too. Can't wait for next year!

the aroma from One Star Review is fire. Upped my usual allocation from 2 cans to 4 cans.

Are you getting much citrus? I found myself really wanting more citrus on the nose and pallet, but with how warm I served it, I might have obscured that aspect of the beer.

I think I got more tropical fruit than citrus based on the splash I got before buying cans. I suppose I can pop one open tonight and report back later.

Nah, if you weren't planning to open a can, don't feel obligated to just because I'm curious. I got more tropical fruit than citrus too.

tardy to the party in responding, but that's wild. was that the Berkeley location?? :astonished: if so, i passed by there Sat around 1:30PM. they had four canned iterations available (Sticky, Sonoma, St. Vito & Gosaic). zero line & large limits (mho) showing on the board - at least one had a 18 can limit, others were 12.

The color seemed a darker haze orange then the typical FW DIPA. I got some citrus, but also tropical fruit at normal fridge temp. It was different, I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the Enigma hops?

Only had 1 can so far since I got home late after Ice Hockey and the beer was clocking in at 9.5%. Will try a few more over the next week.

Yeah, I noticed that too about the color. Almost took a photo of it to post. Also agree on it being different. After thinking some, I believe there's some guava and papaya on the nose, which I haven't found in other Fieldwork beers. Didn't find those in the taste, since I must have poured my can at around 50-54 degrees, which brought out the ABV.

I had skipped the last couple GJ releases. Went ahead and got 4 cans this time since reviews have been more positive lately. Good to hear your review on the latest batch. Will open 1 tonight.

Opened my second can of One Star Review and I'm digging it so much more. Definitely served my previous can way too warm.

The fruit profile reminds me mostly of tangerine, papaya, melon, and pineapple. To lesser extent, I can also get mango, guava, and blueberry. It has a sweet, doughy malt presence and assertive bitterness. All these aspects are individually very bold, and easily distinguished, yet they combine to be harmonious. There's an extended finish where all the components integrate and I can't think of a clear analogue to what I'm tasting. One of my favorite Fieldwork beers.

I made a mistake not maxing.
