I think they had 300 allotments last year.

 

Good to hear cuz this is what I'm considering doing, but how long did it take you to purchase?

 

I think I got there around 10 minutes before 11 and left at 12:30.

 

I realize this is a question that is impossible to answer with any certainty, but what time are we thinking is safe for tomorrow? 9? 9:30?

I'm personally considering a later arrival with the knowledge that I may have to settle for a draft pour only.

 

I can't see 580 people lining up by 9:30, but who knows. I think you can get there at 10/10:30 and still be good. I will be there earlier due to some time restrictions with needing to get home by around Noon. I'll try to update tomorrow morning what the line status is.

 

145 cases available....so hard to gauge. Post above stated 300 alottments last year...unsure if that meant 300 bottles or 300 cases. Regardless, given FOBAB is Saturday which I will be working/attending and all the other bottle releases upcoming aside from BC, I plan on hitting up the new Balmoral tap room for the first time tomorrow around 1 and simply having a few pours. Stress free.

 

Yeah it's supposed to be frigid Friday morning so I'm trying to avoid a 3 hour wait outside. I haven't been to Balmoral yet either. For those who have been there, would a release there go any smoother in terms of spacing?

 

Per the half acre website, bottle release/pickup is at lincoln taproom only. But it will be on draft at BOTH locations. Exert from website:

I'm pretty sure there were 300 allotments (600 bottles, 50 cases).

 

Yeah that line had to be about 300 hundred or more people. I was about 50 shy of coming up empty. This year should be roughly 580 allotments(1,740 bottles, 145 cases) assuming everyone buys 3 bottles.

 

Didn’t they cut it to 1pp halfway through through or so? I may be confusing it with another release though.

 

They never cut it.

 

It had to have been further back than halfway because no way was I in the first 150 and I got 2.

Decided to get there at 930/945. We’ll see if that’s good enough. Will then head over to Balmoral for a pour since it should be easier than the crowded Lincoln tap room

 

Same weather as the day they released benthic box sets. Welcome to stout season, girls and boys.

 

I have a tough time believing that there's going to be nearly 600 people willing to wait in line in this weather that it'll completely sell out if you're not there by 11. That's nearly 2/3 of the BCBS Black Friday crowd at LP Binny's a couple of years ago. But then again ...

 

Had the same feeling when I saw the snow. But who knows. Line updates are appreciated as I stay warm in my office.
