You're missing the boat on the coffee stout. It is not an Imperial Coffee Stout so you should not be hit over the head with the flavors of a big stout...a la Narwhal. It is closer to their regular stout (which is really good) with coffee. I really like it as do many others...to each his own.

I've really taken a shine to the new Guinness. At $7.99 a sixer, it's a deal!

To tell the truth -- I haven't really looked at the prices of the sixers around here!

That's a sale price ($7.99) Maybe $9.99 regular pricing. I do think it is a fairly limited release. Also, I will definitely buy the the new Sierra Nevada 12-pack when it appears.

I watched the distro guys walk in quite a few cases of the 200th in a local last week.

I don't think I'd want any IPA after letting it sit for 24 hrs. Not sure how this is a metric for the quality of a beer

I picked up a 12 pack today for $14.99 out the door. The stout is great I also picked up Celebration for the same price. I now know Celebration is not a future purchase. Its the first time I bought it in a few years and its still nothing great in my book. The IPA pack was not available.

    Enjoy

What part of PA are you in? That's a great price. I agree about Celebration and for as long as I have been into craft beer I could never understand the hype.

I was in DE so I stopped at total wine. A case is close to $40 here in PA

    Enjoy

Over all was disappointed with this pack for a couple of reasons.

    First:
the freshest bottle was around 9/20/17 and while the beers are not old I would have loved to see it fresher, especially since it's a winter pack and arent we still in fall?

    Second:
So far the beers have been decent but nothing to great. I was most excited for the holiday haze and wintertide ale. Wintertide was very underwhelming but could pass for a decent brown ale. I really didnt get much spice from it. The holiday haze IPA was decent but it's haze seems Sediment forward with some sips of the brew tasting very out of place with bits and parts of the beer tasting chewer and thicker then other sips. Also very mild aroma.

Pale ale is always great and havent tried the coffee yet. But so far the two beers I was excited for the most have been a little bit of a let down and although I have faith that the coffee stout will be great, still disappointed overall. Should have gotten two 6-packs of celebration instead.

    Paid $18 for the pack

...never seen a beer 'separate' like that...didn't say anything about drinking the separated beer.

What was the date on the outside of the box? I saw some with 11/01 near me yesterday but I didn't pick one up and was wondering about the bottled on dates. SN beers hold up well but I have noticed this about their mixed packs.

I must be in the minority. I thought this SNOW PACK was better than last year.

SNPA always good, Coffee Stout would buy year round if I could.
Hazy IPA I thought was great and different from the normal SN_IPA realm. I liked Wintertide and thought it was a good take on the spicy brown holiday type ales.

Is it bad that I’m already ready for Sierra Nevada Summerfest again? I love that beer so much

So I saw the Snowpack locally for $14 and really wanted to try the Stout and Wintertide.

Coffee Stout -- Well-brewed tasty Stout, but nothing special to my palate. The roasted malt characters seem to cancel out anything the coffee may have added. I like the Guinness 200 years of Stout beers better. BTW -- 53 IBU in this beer, really? Guess that's what highly roasted malt and coffee do to hop bitterness.

Wintertide -- Seems like an Anchor OSA clone. I'd welcome it if Anchor finally discontinues the OSA -- then again, the Snowpack cost me a buck more than a six of OSA...

Holiday Haze -- Very refined IPA. All hops in flavor with the right malt backbone, but not at all palate wrecking and pretty smooth at 6.5 -- yeah, this from a Lager Lover.

SNPA -- What else hasn't been said?
