The Half-Acre thread (2018)

Uhoh, they are at the wrong Half Acre Brewery for the release.....

If anyone with Fobab tickets for tonight catches pneumonia at the Benthic release, I'm happy to take ticket donations....

 

Half Acre has to be the slowest moving line for a release, and it seems they will never bother to fix it.

 

Seems like it's looking good to stroll over around 1pm and be in and out.

 

Was on my way made it 10 min, then decided what the hell am I doing with my life. Turned around.

 

I'd just go back later. No reason to stand in line with that amount of bottles and this weather turning most people away.

 

That's exactly what I think I'll do.

Only thing I'd wonder is - will people double dip...

 

They are already there, if they braved the cold for that long I am sure they will double dip.

 

Considering the cold, I'd say they've earned it.

 

I tried showing up at 11:30 last year and just missed the cut-off. Doubt I'm going out in the snow when it's on tap there constantly. Echoing others comments on the HA fan base.

 

If you dont mind me asking - how long is it expected to be on draft? All weekend?

If I recall correctly, it was still on draft a couple weeks later. I'm not sure now with two tap rooms, but if they made double the amount (they mentioned on Twitter), I can't imagine it wouldn't last the weekend at at least one of the tap rooms. It's listed as on tap right now at both.

 

Line update?

 

Line hit maybe 225? Hard to say. I know last year had in house bottles available for the winter but I don’t think draft was on all that long.

 

10 minutes out. Sounds like I’ll be ok.

You should be fine. As others have mentioned, it's not likely nearly 600 people have lined up for it. The issue for those hoping to grab it later in the day will be the number of people who go back in line a few times with their fake mustaches and all that. Cause there are always those who just cannot help themselves. Good luck.
