The only thing I'll give to Trillium over OH is their variety. Overall their other styles are better than OH's, but as someone that drinks IPAs the majority of the time I'll take an OH IPA over a Trillium IPA any day of the week. I actually just did a New England run which involved a visit to Trillium and I feel that they were far and away the least impressive beers I brought back from the trip. I also don't appreciate that just about every Trillium IPA I've ever had has a tremendous amount of trub in the bottom of the can. I've never had that issue with an OH IPA.

I can now flip the script and say that I think you're insane. I've made 2 runs to Tree House since they opened in Charlton and I feel like the beers I've gotten have been just as good, if not better. They've made huge improvements on Sap, and the can of Doppelganger I had last night drank fantastic. If you can name specifics about which beers have dropped off since they opened Charlton I'm curious to know. I've had every flagship from Charlton aside from Haze and I think they've all been up to par.

No matter our opinions, it's still interesting to see how everyone tastes things differently.

I have a question when releases get such reviews. The motto for these types of IPAs is drink fresh, drink now. When you buy the beer I'm guessing that the breweries aren't saying to sit on them for a couple of weeks. Is it just a matter of some skewed reviews or are these beers being rushed to market before they are actually ready? That kind of experience would certainly prevent me from getting any to take home.

@Comparison_Ford I recently got Julius, Haze, and Sap all under a week old and they just didn't taste the same to me. All were very muted from what I have had in the past. To each their own I guess. If I am passing that way I would still stop there, but just won't go out of my way to trade for them again. Gimme some DMD over them all day long.

This is spot on from my experience as well. Trillium is worse than alchemist now with the level of floaties/chub right out of the gate - they need to sart putting the same label on telling people to drink from the can.

I think we all agree that whoever the hell was in line last night is unquestionably insane (or just really stupid, or both).

As someone who rarely gets any Trill or Tree it's still hilarious to read debates about quality. They both brew awesome beers most of the time it seems. Other Half too. I guess what I'm saying is if anyone regrets their MA beer purchases hit me up for some relief

I haven't had any problems with floaties but most of the Trillium I've had was from can shares so maybe that's why? I do think their IPAs look nicer than OH IPAs, the addition of a little bit of C-15 gives it a little more of an orange color.

I will gladly accept OH cans from anyone who wants to prove OH IPAs are better than Trillium DDH Congress or Melcher.

*we interrupt this program to bring you a word from one of our better angels*

"Good morning, BAs! Hope all of you fine folks imbibed some tasty beer last night and enjoyed a cozy 7-8 hours of sleep! Boy, are we lucky to have so many local breweries producing delicious, fresh beer! Keep warm this weekend, and feel free to share any beverages you plan on consuming! Cheers!"

*we now return to our regularly scheduled Saturday morning programming*

"Dude WTF are you talking about OH totally crushes Tree House!!!"

"Line just tripled wrapped around the block and is now impeding on two lanes of traffic."

"Broooo, Trillium quality has fallen off a fucking cliff since expansion I won't even drink that trub swill!"

"Multiple accounts of frostbite being reported on Centre Street. Tow count from McDonald's at 4 and rising."

"What has craft beer come to??!! I miss the old days..."

"Screw these NJ and LI reseller crews--as a local who lives <0.25 miles from the brewery, I am entitled to try every single OH beer. Here's my five-point proposal for the next release. I fully expect them to see this post and restructure their business immediately."

"11:30am. All beers available on tap. All versions are borderline undrinkably harsh and anyone who waited overnight is unquestionably idiotic."

"Tekus being resold on Ebay for $50/glass. Mixed 4-packs upwards of $100."

    "Anyone ask about next week?"

Teku will definitely break the $80 a glass mark. The potato ones hit $100+ didn't they?

I would attempt this but I only want 1-2 4 packs. How the hell would I choose?
