Some brief tasting room comments. BBA 9 Ladies is definitely an improvement over non BBA. Coffee and barrel add a lot. Maxing.

Marzipandimonium is good but a little hot for me. Almond is not overpowering which is what I feared.

Big favorite was wee heavy coconuts. Walnut, cinnamon, and base blend well. Wish I’d grabbed a crowler.

    $12 geburg crowler! Sold.

So much good beer. Only so much liver.

marzipan was my favorite of the night, for me. Almond forward, but balanced. Was smooth for 16%, didn't feel hot to me.

Enjoyed vindictive, to my surprise . The more I drank it, the more I thought I was drinking wine. Not a stout. Liked it as a taster.

Super juicy Tuesday. Hello! This should be canned for consumption asap.

I forgot to bring a can, missed out the BT variant. Kicking myself on that.

I'm still surprised black Tuesday sold out so quickly this year, online and brewery . Last year it was available at terreux for several weeks.

Pro-tip: If you forget a can you can still donate a few bucks (I think it's $5) to get the taster.

Didn't now that. When I was ordering I mentioned I forgot a can, and he just said it'll be on draft for awhile.

    Will be prepared next time.

I enjoyed Marzipandemonium big time. As others have said, tons of almond flavor, but not in a way that overwhelms. I also agree that it's surprisingly not-hot for a fresh beer of this strength.

As a side note, my wife (who likes BT) said there's an aftertaste in SHIT that she doesn't care for (insert jokes if you really need to). She detected that same flavor profile in Marzi (which obviously contains SHIT) and as a result was kind of meh on it.

Side side note, was surprised to see Marzi bottle was waxed since I thought that was now reserved for $30+ bottles.

Tell No Tales - yeah, it's barrel aged Autumn Maple. I really love Autumn Maple, so using that as a base for comparison, TNT I thought lost some of the cool yeast character but gained some reserved barrel notes (not over the top bourbon like some BA's). It was also noticeably more boozy. Not "better" than AM, but an interesting side journey. Essential not to drink too cold (even more so than other Bruery beers).

wait bruery has 375s now? great!!

wait only for the sours?? wtf?

i have no problem crushing their 750 sours. major drop the ball here, put CR in 375, that would shake things up.

I'm in the same boat. But it appears we are in the minority. Lots of discussion about this a month or two ago.

The email announcement did state there are plans for other beers in 375ml for some time in 2018.

They also continue to add this on all their 2018 Membership emails (Bruery & Terreux):
"*equivalent to 12 750-ml. bottles of beer"

I agree with KavSal though, starting with the Bruery stuff would have been better. At least for me, the 750ml is perfect for sours, but 20% stout not so much.

Thats all a matter of perspective... I crave the boozy stuff and fear the sours. Give me 2 tasters of sour and I am good. Anything more = sip the sour, take a tums, sip the sour, take a tums...

    From their September 29th email

"On The Bruery side, we expect to begin the year packaging the majority of beers in 750-ml. bottles, but we have our eye on introducing more in a smaller size bottle format as the year gets underway."

That is correct. Packaging on The Bruery side is starting in 750-ml. bottles. The first smaller bottles on The Bruery side will be the small batch bottling runs for Hoarders-only releases.

@BruerJoel I know this is probably getting ahead of ourselves, but are you looking at shipper options for the 375ml bottles?

@BruerJoel re: the free shipping for a month email just now, I see this part:

"Offer valid on new transactions only."

That's a bit of a gut punch - I just dropped $400 on this month's allocations last week, which are still available to purchase now, but I bought them too early to enjoy this benefit? :slight_frown:
