Yep, Holler is doing barrel aged Loyah Tooyah and other variants along with food pop ups from the person that does their steak night and from Sammy's Wild Game. If I do anything on Black Friday, I would go with either of these over chasing and waiting in any line.

Good chance I'll end up at Holler. I love that they've been doing casks.

Somewhat sad here, have to head over towards Austin for a family thing after lunch, but will be heading somewhere downtown on Saturday, post back here who has the best stuff on tap. Going to bounce around up north here on Friday morning grabbing what I can.

I'm a little surprised we have no Spec's list yet.

Anyone recall when they announced one last year?

I just saw that Southern Star Black Crack will be sold at "high volume Specs and HEB's on black Friday. "

How much do the bottles usually cost at HEB and Specs? This is my first year doing this so I am just curious how I need to budget for this. Also, do variants usually cost more and do HEBs every have variants?

New resident to The Woodlands. Where are the spots to hit up in north Houston for BCBS? I was spoiled living 40 min from Chicago the past 4 years -- a bit worried we don't get good allocation at all down here.

Regular BCBS will be easy to acquire. Some stores will just put cases of it on the floor at no limit. HEB Indian Springs, Market Street, and maybe Creek Side, will get at best a case of Northwoods and a couple of cases of coffee and barleywine. Don't be surprised if they don't get them until the week after Black Friday. Whole Foods as well. If you want 1 of every variant, your best bet is to go to the main Spec's downtown.

I assume you are asking about BCBS. Last year regular was $9.99 - $10.99. Coffee and barleywine were around $12.99 and variants like Northwoods will probably be $20.00 or so. The bigger HEBs will get variants, but in far smaller quantities than regular. Many stores will offer case limits or no limits on regular. Limit 1-2 bottles on coffee, barleywine, etc.

I assume this is for BF... or next week like someone else posted? Also, do people start lining up early before Spec's (or any store) opens down here?

Do they? I showed up at 8am (2 hours early) for last years release and was behind 100+ people.

Thanks. Sorry, just moved here and will be my first experience of purchasing Bourbon Country outside of the Chicago market on BF.

Where did you find this? I'd like to know what the allotment is for their other locations

On Twitter. This is their main location. Other locations will most likely only get regular (maybe Barleywine). They posted to contact other stores directly for their allocations.

If you want anything other than Stout line up early or you won’t likely get what you want allocation isn’t as high as last year from what I’ve been told

Anyone find it at HEB? I'm at one currently ( in Waco) and I don't think they have it.

Do you live in Waco? I can bring you some stout. I live there but am currently in Houston visiting family.
