They aren't licensed to sell their beer so they've been giving 4 packs away to people that show interest in the brewery. And these canning runs have been like 2-3 cases. They're brewing very small batches right now and literally filling and sealing each can, one-by-one.

How long have they been homebrewing now?

Just received an inmail, in regards to my post, from Dino and he was nothing but professional, even offering some VSB swag. I wish no ill will towards VSB and hope they have nothing but success once they open. Always love to see new offerings in Mass and will surely check out the brewery once it opens.

That's nice. I have no problem with the brewery, but as others have pointed out Matt has doing his best to ruin their image by association.

Gotta get that hype going bro.

It's smart on their part, but it feels very cynical and manipulative to me.

While I get hyping your brewery before it opens, I wonder if there is going to be some hype fatigue for these guys since they haven't even signed a lease on a space. From there, it's going to be a year+ for them to open. I think it's savvy marketing, but I'm wondering if the marketing has started too soon.

Anyway, I don't have any bias against them. I haven't tried their beer. I hope that they're actually as nice as Mr. Grape has said they are and in that case, I wish them success.

Someone whose taste I respect said the beers are good, so I started following on Instagram. Agree, way too many posts that are all basically the same. I remain interested in the brewery and hope the beers are delicious, but will probably unfollow just because it's too much.

Not necessarily aimed at this post alone but they are probably just excited about this thing they’ve been building and working on. The idea that there would be “fatigue” in a way that would harm their business is silly, and some of you need to have perspective - you are an extreme minority of would be customers to even know and follow them at this point because you are obsessed, and that fact alone means none of you are going to skip them over once they open if their beer is just because they made too many instagram posts. And if you did that would just be lol@you.

Some of you are just way too cynical, honestly. The type of people who have the follow through to start their own business, especially with the hurdles they face, aren’t the types to twiddle their thumbs while they wait on things outside of their control. Imagine how pumped you’d be in their shoes seeing your beer in cans and getting poured at bars etc.

    Down Fanboy Down!!.... deeeep breaths....

Opinion and perhaps a bit of constructive criticism are ok?.. I’d bet the owners of VS might even agree...
I thought this website was kinda for commenting/educating/ and having a bit of fun perhaps on a topic that I’d guess is important to varying degrees to all who signed up... It can also be a nice “tool” for potential professionals in this industry....I’d offer that once the homebrewer makes that leap “good for them” then they do open that door to “hopefully” constructive criticism and positive comments. The trolls and nasty comments are unnecessary but are a part of this, and I think most BA’s are smart enough to see this. If nothing else even bad comments keep this thread going!!!.
I’m not nearly as eloquent as some BA’s “Sweatshirt” shoutout! So this long winded post won’t make sense but whatever
    Peace!

This thread is so constructive I can’t stand it. And yeah, I’m a “fanboy” of a brewery I have never even tried.

The criticism is stupid is what I’m saying, hopefully I was being constructive about it.

So keeping the thread going Constructively
I was given a can of VS’s Orange Cream Dream Ale.... I’ve never had a Cream Ale so wasn’t sure what to expect... have to say I quite enjoyed it... definitely seems to have the Lager aroma and taste with a nice orange sweetness. I believe I saw it was around 7 abv... if they could ever get it more sessionable it would be even better IMO...
    well done VS!

Sorry...ah has an almost Pilsener herbal, grassy aroma?...I’m not describing it right I know... I read BAs description of a Cream Ale before I had it so when I did the aroma and taste reminded me a bit of a Lager

I think I got ya. Was just racking my brain for what a lager smell could be, but grassy pils I can relate to.
