I've spent the last 20 minutes reading this thread on the train and realized a few things, or some things were just reinforced:

    1. Some people just like to debate a little too much

    2. A lot of people fell out of love with Goose, or so they say. Black Friday may prove otherwise...

    But most importantly...

    3. I will buy 3Beans if I have the opportunity @Sixpoint

    Cheers

My local store has 1 12oz for 16 bucks. Is that the price range for this? a 4 back is 64 bucks?

That sounds like a mistake. Maybe @invertalon @meanmutt @BeersandBread can chime in with what they saw the price of the 4packs were.

As noted several times before, individual stores are always free to charge whatever they want, but of course they run the risk of pricing themselves out of the market.

That is either some serious price gouging or a mistake. $13.99 for a 4 pack of 12oz. cans in my area.

$15/$16 a 4 pack. For the sake of humanity I hope that was a mistake.

You're kidding, right? Most high ABV beers that come in 4-packs, especially barrel-aged ones, go for around $15. And are you really going to fuss over $3? Wow!

No, I am not kidding, and I do not see any fuss being made.

The brewery only cans were $20 for 6.

All I said was I was hoping the national release would be around the same price per can.....$12-13.

Still a great price but not what I hoped for.

I guess w/ 3 tier taking their part the $ goes up.

This really shows that selling beer direct from your brewery is the way to make $.

    Enjoy

What are you talking about? $12-13 per can? Or per 4-pack? Like I said, 99% of the time they go for $15.

My hope was $12-13 a four pack. Yes its a bit more in reality but I tjought with the six pack price maybe we would see similar $ per can.....We did see a close price but like I said I had hoped for $12-13.

If I see this I will buy it as Almost all of Shanes beers are great.

    Enjoy

I paid $3.xx/can or something... I bought (2) singles they had in the cooler, I didn't see any complete 4-packs, or I just didn't look hard enough!

I think the verdict on these beers is in. Had 3,4 and 5 yesterday at the brewery, they were great. Not to mention an awesome release day, no line to wait in and incredible hospitality from Shane and the Sixpoint team.

Had 3 Beans bourbon at the brewery and it was fantastic. Had a can of the Port barrel and that was also excellent. Looking forward to trying the Rye barrel. I'll second the great experience at the brewery. No lines, great people, and great beer. Everyone was awesome. Thanks!

Gotta give the credit to the entire crew here - Keir for spearheading the entire barrel program going back many years now....Adam G and Greg for crushing it with coordinating everything on the back end, Julie for making it all happen logistically up until the event and on the day of...obviously Chris for making the app a success....really there are too many people to mention here, but it should be noted its an entire crew making this all happen behind the scenes.

Everyone seems to have their favorite one, but our goal of creating three distinct flavors definitely came through. The 3Beans definitely has the prominent coffee and chocolate flavor with the contribution of bourbon, the 4Beans has the spotlight on the addition of the vanilla bean and the rye whiskey barrel, and the 5Beans has the tanginess and red wine elements from the port barrels and the sour cherries.

We're excited to hear what you think of the 4Beans.

Really curious to hear what you might think about the other two.
