Half a billion? #dhaakonmath. But agreed with the sentiment

 

I recall Sam Richardson saying they came up with the name Other Half because they want to be the other half of the industry, never selling out. But, money is money.....

 

I think WW was sold for 800 Mil

 

eh lagunitas sold 50% share at half a billion. the craft beer industry moved 23.6 billion last year. i dont think thats the worst math ive come up with.

 

geez was looking for this quote. i think it might be dhaakon math because i undervalued it.

 

BeerBusinessAdvocate. The market has shifted and i think a company like other half is more likely to sell out than return to its “roots”. other half also promoted being a presence in the local community but once they got that paper their focus shifted to expanding their market at the expense of locals.

edit: expense is the wrong word.. maybe inconvenience or changed their focus to getting their name out. but their model over the past year is very much more business focused than craft focused. or maybe the best combination of both but id be extremely surprised if theyre not on the High End’s radar or prime target.

Factor in the big boys monopoly on certain hop contracts and stranglehold on lobbying- its an uphill battle for most craft brewers

 

forgot to mention, i did sleep at a holiday inn express last night, so dont question my business and investment expertise.

 

Is this the part of the thread were we discuss whether Other Half cares about their local loyalists anymore?

but thats not my intent and im over arguing whether they care about local loyalists. i dont mind if they sell out. theyve had a huge impact and should capitalize onthemarket.

Looked like snowbirds was sold out when I left 10 minutes ago

 

For example drinking an All Infinity Everything now, this is miles better than when I had it a couple of days from being canned. On another note, tastes more like a Sand City beer to me than Other Half. Fantastic beer now.

 

Is this thing on?
