Do they usually have the variants on tap the day off? I'm expecting to not be fast enough on the tickets but wondering if I could still try them on-site without having to pay secondary prices for bottles.

Last year they had some of the variants on tap. Not all.

Yes and no. Some but not all, but also awesome one off variants or old variants.

Even if you don't get tickets, the party is pretty awesome.

No. They want you to buy the super expensive vintage bottles.

The release party is ticketed, so there really isn't a reason for a bottle share, but I have seen people slip bottles in.

Some of the vintage bottles at like $30 are actually a really good deal. (Yes, AB Cake at $1000 is laughable, but if someone has that kind of money more power to them right?)

Really looking forward to this years variants. Hoping for another Brown Paper Ticket release system... gotten lucky 2 years in a row now with that!

Anyone know if all of the BA Mexican Biscottis are gone by now?

And how does the brown tickets work? Lottery or just a slim window to buy them?

Last two years were slim and slightly confusing non-announced ticket sale time.

No lotto, first come first serve.

Last year the tickets lasted about a half hour, and maybe fifteen minutes the year before if memory serves correctly.

Tickets lasted longer than that in both cases, although those times are about when the first "unavailable" messages probably appeared. But as tickets fell out of peoples' carts, they became available again. I know people that purchased tickets about an hour into the sale.

Westbrook's unannounced ticket link drop is great because it ensures the site doesn't get completely slammed all at once. I haven't had a technical issue either of the past two years, unlike with a lot of other online ticketed beer stuff.

I can't complain too much about the way they do it. I would say with such overwhelming demand for the product though, I would say a lotto system is more 'fair'. I like that some breweries take it one step further, tickets are say $5, which goes to charity and reduces the chances of people signing up mules or family members that have no interest in beer.

No one cares if you bring bottles. Stop the fake news.

Agreed. Lots of bottle sharing last year. I hit up the Angry Chair Rocky Road release on the way up and shared some bottles of that around with everyone.

    Fake news?

I said, "The release party is ticketed, so there really isn't a reason for a bottle share, but I have seen people slip bottles in."

With as much good stuff as WB taps during the party, there really is no reason for a bottle share, I said nothing about bottles not going around.

Please learn to read before you throw out wild accusations.

    Anyone have that BAMC tonight?

Thoughts on a silent Black Friday release?
