Civil Society - Fall - 2017

Hoping for more but anticipating this.

 

The event description says please don’t arrive before 10. The party starts at 12. Is there any real upside to arriving prior to 1145/12? I understand some popular beers will kick, but can’t imagine they’ll be gone within first 20-30 minutes

 

The advantage to getting in line before noon is you get to your most sought after tap immediately then can stand in a second most sought after line for 30 minutes and get 2 whales by 12:30. If you show up noon you're going to be in at least a 30 minute to start the day then by the time you get 1 beer and move on to a second line you're running the chance of it kicking.

 

Hard to pick “whales” when I look at this tap list...

 

Fair point. But there are plenty of 4.5 beers that you will never see down here outside of festivals and trading.

 

I was told lines were pretty non existent at the event last year

 

3 sons confirmed their Get the sensation stout is a dark chocolate stout w peppermint. I hate peppermint patties but still would like to try it. But this confirms they won’t be my first stop

Yeah I agree. Was told by multiple people that they could just walk up and get 3 Sons stuff last year with no wait. Was hoping this was going to be a laid back mini huna day but might have to attack it in a similar way.

 

3 Son's definitely had lines most of the time, they also did timed releases instead of having all their beers available at the start, other breweries may do the same.

They weren't timed releases, alot of them waited for one to be tapped out before starting the next one.

 

Anyone know when they will, or if they will, update the tap list? Lots of TBA beers.

 

I doubt they will update it.

 

Is everyone just using their phone for entry or do we need printed tickets? Tried looking for an answer, didn't see one anywhere.

 

I called yesterday and asked and they said phone is fine.

 

Any idea what the window is for can pickups? I know it starts at 2 but wondering how late.

 

They said they would let people know at the gate

The beauty of this lineup is not one beer or brewery sticks out as the consensus #1. My top 3 gets are different from my buddy, so seems like everyone has decent shot at fulfilling their wishlist

great day! Was able to try everything I wanted. Most "lines" weren't that bad. Plus Civil's line was very efficient. Will be attending 3rd anny
