I picked up cans of Hazy Train and DU today. Just cracked a Hazy Train and something feels off from the last batch. This tastes more muted and less crisp - if that makes sense. Bummer since the batch before this was so good.

Interesting, I actually liked the Hazy Train can I opened a lot. Like to the point I raised my personal Hazy Train score. That being said, I only had hazy train at a 3.75-4 previously and solidified it as a 4 due to the amount juiciness and lack of bitterness.

I'm still waiting for the good conduct release...

Hoping it'll happen when visiting family in SF this weekend.

The release is Wednesday the 22nd, starting at 10am. Cost is $9 and limits aren't yet decided.

Interesting. I like it too but it missed my expectations when comparing it to the last batch - which I remember fondly. The degree of variation is what surprised me but I agree, on it's own (with no comparison to the previous batch) it's good.

Interesting to see the comments about Hazy Train batch variation as I was thinking the same about Destination Unknown; I got strong peach notes from the yeast with the previous batch and that’s absent here, putting (my first can of) this batch more in the lightly-dank, spice-forward category of IPAs

This batch of Hazy Train is tasty too but the real star of my last trip was Li’l Pulp. And yeah, hyped for Good Conduct.

Second can of Destination was better, with the dankness I love, but a little less carbonation than I prefer. Thinking the next can will be back to what I was hoping for :-)

Lil Pulp is great. I usually avoid session beers like the plague, but really glad I got a growler of it

Good Conduct release in Berkeley was super chill. Got to the brewery a few minutes after 10:00, and I was out the door with my cans at 10:20. There was zero line for cans when I left. The initial limit was 12 cans, which seemed crazy, but I don't think many people maxed out due to the price per can. I'm not sure if they eventually lowered the limits, but I would guess that cans will last until at least 11:00.

Even when I saw someone in Sacramento post a pic with 6 cans... I was like DAMN...$60 almost ....lol...

Still several releases and places to go Fri-Sun this weekend. Don't want to spend all the beer $ in 1 place.

On a side note, lots of people getting PULP crowlers as well today.

Got to San Mateo right at 10:00. Limit here was 10 but not many people got all 10. Even seeing people walking around with 6 packs made my liver hurt.

Not much of a line and I would have gotten out by 10:20 except that I got a fill of Destination Unknown, and the growler queue was a bit backed up. Still got out by 10:35 and no line for cans at all by then.

Sensee was pretty good. Got a crowler of Lil Pulp that I'll be trying tomorrow. But the big news for me is that my second can of Destination Unknown was fucking great. Very nearly as good as the draft I had during the last batch which was my personal highest rated beer of the year!

Haven't tried my others cans of Destination Unknown. But I did open a can of Good Conduct. And wow... it's amazing. I doubt it will receive the love it deserves but I liked it more than most Abnormal and Bottle Logic stouts I've had. I feel like I say this every release, but I should have bought more. That college student life killing me...

I’m not gonna admit how many Good Conduct I bought. Delicious, the only problem is that it’s definitely for sharing; I’m hesitant to tackle one alone.

Sensee Party and Hors de Saison were also tasty.

Anyone try Stars Hollow yet? Blanc can go either way for me, and I’m also not sure I get the use of a Gossip Girl reference for a FW pale…

Anybody tried Hazy Glue yet? Getting good ratings on untapped, especially for a pale ale.

It was enjoyable. I had fills of it and Eastside Motel for a crowd and while the latter was the star, it held its own. Is it even still around, though?

I haven't seen it, so it must have gone quick, which is why I asked since I didn't see it at Berkeley despite being there 3 weeks in a row.

My fill was tagged 11/9, so I’d guess you missed it. Sorry!

Also, apparently I meant Gilmore Girls, not Gossip Girl :grimacing: …in any case, anyone tried Stars Hollow? Looks nice.

just traded for some cans of this stuff, Pulp, Hazy Train & Expedition Unknown. Wonder how they compare to the rest of HAZE out there!? The Pulp is a Crowler Fill. How Long does the Crowlers last for!? Two Weeks Tops!?
