I’ve had it a few times on draft at a few locations & conclude that I like SNCA much better out of the bottle. I get more of the expected pronounced pine & citrus hop bitterness in concert with each other & the draft is much more subdued - tho still good!

Hmm, I haven't had a draft yet. Hopefully at some point. It actually can be fairly difficult to find, because more hip places probably won't carry it.

I highly doubt this is the case, but I wonder if it's a slightly different recipe on draft. Similar to how their Pale Ale is different on draft. For example, on draft it's 5.0% ABV, and in the bottle it's 5.6%.

Interesting, didn't know that... and I consider myself a longtime SN fanboy...

Yup. @sierranevadabill answered this question for me in this thread.

Here's the direct quotation since it wouldn't let me quote it on here, maybe it's too old.

"Draught is Slightly more malt forward, (higher % of crystal malt) and not keg conditioned, lower ABV as well. Draught Pale Ale is 5% ABV by volume and Bottle is 5.6% ABV by volume."

They also list the bottle and draft separately in the nutritional information on their website linked below.

Finally found the Fresh Hop 12-pack this afternoon @ Wegmans in Burlington ( they said it literally just came in). For those of you who don’t know, there are 3 Celebration cans in this pack. Of course the 1st one I dug into was pretty malty (not in a bad way).

What’s the date on the cans?

10/13. But with SN’s packaging & balance on these beers it’s no big deal.

I'll be picking up my first keg of the season on Friday. Can't wait!

Today reminded me yet again that SNCA is the best beer to accompany a traditional turkey dinner. OK I may stretch that a Saison goes well too.

Widowmaker Old Oaken Bucket rocks with a turkey dinner. I already killed a six pack of Celebration this year. Just reminiscent of a chilly late fall day with the resinous sap pouring from a pine tree. Really beautiful.

Maybe with the bottle conditioning? The canned SNCA out of the Hop mix-pack is slightly different too, I think SN Bill said it didn’t get the package conditioning.

On another note - wow the Session & Wet Hop IPA out of that pack are pretty awesome.

Yeah, crushed a bunch yesterday! It was the 9/28 batch and was tasting great. The latest 12 pack I picked up is dated 10/23, can't wait to dig into that!
