Is anyone else noticing that the per can pricing for other breweries (KCBC, Captain Lawrence, Interboro) have been slowly creeping up at retail to match Singlecut? It's quickly becoming normal for a single can of fresh IPA to be $6.49 - $6.99. 4x packs at $23.99. I even saw a bar charging $15 for 1x can of AZ Wilderness NE IPA. I know bar pricing is different but damn.

I certainly hope that's not the case. Also SingleCut went from selling out day one with no shelf display and having to call the store ahead of time To having a shelf display and sitting on the shelf much longer now. Looks like the almost $30 4-packs are beginning to leave a bad taste in peoples mouths.

$16 gives me pause, with $20-$22 giving serious pause. At these prices I'm changing my buying habits.

People equate local cans with quality and scarcity, so retailers jacking up the price. People need to stop paying these prices and hope prices come down. I am sure there are shelf beers cheaper and just as good.

Just got the Softly Spoken Magic Spells and Harry Doesn't Know at Whole Foods Columbus Circle for $4.99/can, shocked considering I've seen them go for $7 and up at bottle shops.

Yep in the fridge section behind the bar. When I was there yesterday there looked to be a decent amount left.

Thanks for the heads up. Just got the last one of each. Glad to know they're here at a decent price.

It's a pretty legit spot, usually great stuff on tap and there's almost always something worth getting to go, and I guess they get the benefit of economies of scale and can offer decent prices.

Agreed. I work down the block but often don't stop in because they aren't on BeerMenus and I forget to check.

whole foods does a pretty decent job at keeping the costs low... just wish their beermenus page was kept up to date. the gowanus one has had goose island lolita listed for months, yet they've never had it.

i did bite the bullet last month and picked up 3 cans of the jenny said. 7 and change per can at a bottle shop in park slope. first can tasted excellent, 2nd can (less than 4 weeks after canning) had a significant fall off in flavor. I think I'm done buying singlecut cans.

I am finishing my last can of DDH Is This the Real Life? that was canned 10/10 and it is glorious. I will probably continue to buy their beers sparingly because of the price but no complaints from me about drop off in quality.

I picked up 4 day old SSMS at Woodbridge Canals this past weekend for $22+ tax....

Yeah SC prices are a bit off, but that was definitely a sweet acquisition without going anywhere near Rikers.

The past few can releases were $22.50 a four pack at my local place. I just bought a single for $7 to try. $20+ is just way too much for me to spend regularly on a four pack of beer now. I have my limitations.

Looks like this will be a crazy beer. I'll probably pick up a 4 pack of this.

Hope they have this on tap for a little bit after the event. Would love to try it but not sure I would commit to a 4-pack just yet.

Does anyone know if Singlecut will do mixed four-packs? Looks like there's going to be some more 5th anniversary cans before next week, and would love to try them all.
